Your worst experience on the mountain.

When i was 16 i went on a holiday skiing in Canada for 21 days

It was early January and they didnt have a good park.

On my 6th day they built a decent kicker.

i had 3 hits which was fun. after my my third hit i rode out and went off this little jump which had a super hard ice lip and i was thrown forward and i dislocated and fractured my sholder.

i was waiting on the mountain for 2 hours then had a 1 hour trip in abmo down to vernon and 2 hour wait till they actually poped my sholder back into place in hospital

It was shit

but the worst part about it was sitting in a lodge for 15 days watching all my friends going skiing everyday.

I'm going to go a different direction and not mention my worst injury, but my worst day skiing. It was just ice, with a howling wind and bad visibility with the flattest light ever. But what made it the worst is that it was sandwiched between two of the most awesome powder days ever, so i went out with high expectations and just ended up getting hurt on some blue fkn ice.

Bowl into some trees in Utah, ski got hung up at the top of a 15 foot cliff, tomohawked over it onto my back, started sliding, heading for the trees, picking up speed, both my polls were gone so I couldnt dig them in, I was jamming my boots down too, nothing. My feet hit a root/tree, catapulting my into the air, I slam into a tree, so hard my helmet, gogs, and hat fall off, I thought I broke every rib, continued to tumble and got down to the bottom. I lay there untill my wind comes back, some how I didn't break anything, I look up, see all of my gear on the 500 feet of bowlage, I start hiking up, it was steep and deep as hell, and my sea level living ass was out of shape, so it took me forever to get back up. When I arrive at the fateful cliff where I first fell, I reach for my ski, slip, land on my ski, and start tomohawking once again. this time I hit a tree back first, and kept rolling rolling down to the bottom once again. I was out of it that time, must have hit my head, layed there for like 30 minutes and called a friend to come help me.

The time i ruined a pair of Pipe Cleaners by accidentily riding in a creek in early season backcountry then having to tell the ski patrol im an instructor riding off piste in the dark on park skis

This is back when I boarded...

1. Was riding down, buttering a bit, and I did a flat back 1, but my shoelace on my boot was hanging out and got under my board when I landed, and I basically flipped backwards on an icy day.

2. I was doing a handrail, and I didn't hop up high enough an clipped the siding of the rail, and ate complete shit. Huge strawberry on my hip.

3. Was messing around and I tossed my board up and when it landed it kept sliding, increasing in speed and eventually got to the bottom of the hill. Quite a run, that was.

4. I was about to hit the C - rail, and when I got on, a screw was loose and I clipped on it and fell face first into the rail.

Fun stuff

that's actually pretty sick how they get them off the lift like that. but my worst day was the first day of the season two years ago, down rail, cut my shit open on either the rail or with my ski edge, stitches, no skiing for 2 weeks

was hanging on the edge of a cliff with my best friend by some patches of dry grass... the cliff was 5-6 meter drop to rocks... that day 5 people broke legs arms and worse by falling down the cliff. I walked away with a lost ski only.
damn shit if you ask me but at least im alive

your brain was bleeding?????? pretty sure if you have internal bleeding in your brain...... your dead. but maybe your like a super human.

Believe me if it had been less than 30 odd feet to flat i would have been really tempted to jump; also bruising my heel so bad i couldn't walk for 3 days wasn't great.

I just remembered another one. Last year I was skiing with some friends and we were stuck on the chairlift. We saw a guy below us go down a run that was closed, lose control, and wrap himself around a tree. Nobody else was coming down the run since it was closed and the chairlift was still stuck. He was just kinda like gurgling and making weird noises/spitting up blood and moaning for help. By the time we had passed the message all the way up the lift and a patroller got to him, the guy was unconcious. I still have no idea what happened to him, but it was terrible just sitting on the lift watching him writhe in pain and then pass out and not being able to do anything.

deffinatley getting my car stuck on my lawn, on my way to my hill. slid off my driveway onto a shitty jump i had built which was at the time solid ice. missed gypsy day with all my friends and sat home all day woot! :(

i was snowboarding and my pretty much brand new ride contrabands that i bought for 260. toe strap snapped for the 3rd time

any day that end up in a trip to the hospital or the time we tried to find so good woods skiing and ended up walking around in the woods for a few hours no fun

I live in Saskatchewan and get out to the mountains maybe a few times a year if I am lucky. There is no such thing as a bad day on the mountains unless maybe you break your skis, they are stolen, or if you break something on your body. The one year I got food poisoning and a ski to the head (needed stitches, but I didn't get them) but I kept skiing because it was an opportunity to be on the mountain. Even the days I ski here in the prarie lands are a good time. Don't complain if you live anywhere close to a mountain.

i cant think of my worst day right now besides just getting migranes, but that reminds me last year when my break some how bent straight down on one side, it sent me lying. had to ski under the lift balancing on one ski the whole run, it was a funny and pretty lame experience.

first attempt at an allyoop flatspin in he pipe...under rotated, landed face on the shelf and broke my nose. first bone i broke skiing. worst day on the hill.

one fine spring day i was headed towards the lodge. there is always this big puddle right outside and you pretty much have to walk around or go through. so i was approaching it and someone got in my way and lost my speed. i didnt fall in puddle i stopped right in the middle of it. so then some snowboarder goes through the puddle and sprays half of my body with mudd, i was pissed...however my skullcandy icons/phone/ipod did not get ruined

Untucked right off the lip because I felt I was going too fast and got sketched out, overshotand landed right on my neck. Ended up spending the rest of the day resting it off in the lodge where some incredibly helpful old employee kindly informed me that if I wanted to rest I should leave. I hate the staff at my hill they're all such douchebags

I got one:

I went skiing on a bluebird spring day at a super sick mountain with my friend. The cloud was beyond sick and the sun so hot and warming. I didn't put any sunscreen that day, I never put it during winter anyway. So yeah, during the day, my lips were burning like hell and I knew it was goign to be one hell of a sunburn. So the day finishes with me with a bandana on my face. But when I woke up the day after. WHAT THE FUCK, I got the biggest racoon ever, like no joke, it was red as a tomato. Seriously, 3rd degree burn on my face. I had to go to the hospital. The result: I couldn't go outside during the day for a month haha. Sucked so bad. Gladfully I did not have any marks from it.

A friend of mine was on a trip to Whistler for a full month, and broke his wrist on the glacier on the third day.

On the run out on the last day of a two week trip to Jackson Hole, my dad caught an edge real gnarly-like and fell. Shattered his knee, destroyed his tibia plateau, and lots of other fancy words I can't name. 3 years and 13 surgeries later, he walks with a limp, can't run, and probably won't ever ski again.

I've had some bad days but nothing compares to the truly shitty experiences, mine involve being too cold or getting snow in my gloves hahaha

The run is called thompson's brooke. it's a right turn into the woods off upper polecat. It was a nice pow day, and around 1/6th of the way down, the trail almost spilts, and i ended up on the acutal brooke, instead of the "trail". just walking downhill with my skis on. I wasn't exzactly "lost" because i knew that i would end up in the C parking lot, but i also knew it would take ages :( the funny part was that i was alone for about an hour and a half, and ended up in the parking lot with 11 people, because people kept following my trail lol.

Last winter. I was in Quebec with about 20 persons.

We decided to ski on fresh powder even if the track was closed.

Took about 2 hours to get back to the top where we finally take the right track and get back to ski.

this one time i was skiing down a gully behind some gaper who kept yelling "natural halfpipe" and cutting me off.

i was chilling on a little hill clearly visible by every one around and then suddenly a snowboarder comes and nails me in the back of the head with his fucking snowboard. it knocked me out for i dont know how long. a couple of my buddies tried to stop the snowboarder but he just left. with out even saying sorry :(

gggaaaaaaaaAAAAAHHHHHH

but seriously. i'm from pennsylvania. my worst experience is being stuck on a lift for 45 minutes or someone knocking my fries over in the lodge. fuck that noise.

i was workin the top (ima lifty) and some little kid left his ski right on the landing and I couldnt see it, when the next chair came some lady couldnt dodge a baby ski and fell over on her face... I thought it was pretty funny but then she stormed over to my shack thing whatever you wanna call it and she bitched at me for like 10 minutes.. sadly since it was a private ski hill, i couldnt say anything back otherwise i wouldve lost my job...

same shit happened for me, got 5 stitches on my knee but only missed 1 weekend of skiing and got them taken out in like 12 days.

Skiing on a foggy day, my friend told me to follow him, foolishly I did and fell off a cliff from 20 ft to a flat groomer. I bounced, it sucked.
