Alright finally finished all the results for the latest ROUND, which I’ll call the Summer Round: Post SIA. Fairly interesting seeing what your favorite skis were prior to all the reviews coming in September and October….I’ve cut the round off at the month of June and will start the next round after that.

But as the snow is starting to drop for this season, we have skis that are still consistently your favorites and some that are slowly falling off your radar faster than injured skiers and their respective sponsors.

The Top 10 Climate Change:

Well True and steady wins the race, and that can be said about your Top 5; still unchanged and still going strong. Whether that translates to you actually buying these skis..well…time will tell. The interesting thing is that as the dow plummets so does your love for the Volkl Chopstick/Dumont/ARG/Fujas…and other pre hyped skis of 2009. Moment continues to keep pace with Line and had a big push by the Reno Rocker with a 14pt gain in this round…to take the number 6th outright. Slight dip for the Lizzie but all round, NS choose and ride on Line Skis by a whopping 53+pt difference ahead of Moment.

Speaking of which company rules the slopes…here are your...

TOP 5 Ski Company Stats:

1. Line w/ 10 skis: 205pts (#1 ski: Chronics)

2. Moment w/ 9 skis: 151 (#1 ski: Bibby Pro)

3. Salomon w/ 5 skis: 92 (#1 ski: Salomon)

4. K2 w/ 6 skis: 92 (#1 ski: obSETHed)

5. Armada w/ 7 skis: 77 (#1 ski: JJ)

These 5 skis companies dominated the top 20 skis aside from a lone entry by Nordica and the Jah Loves w/ 21pts. Once again, falling out of the top 5 and in 6th is Volkl although with great reviews of their complete line coming in this past Sept/Oct, they may make a push in the next round. Rossi and it’s new artistic sin skis have not pushed your imagination buttons enough for you to warrant buying their skis as they barely sit in 7th fending off the next two ski companies: 9thward and the previously mentioned Jah Loves…

Now I wonder, how or if this really is an indication of each companies’ marketability of their skis, their pros, their skicred or if it really all boils down to just Karma….well, at least we know Line must have some serious skicred out there!!!

I’ll post the next round next week with updates on camber vs non cambered skis, and park vs everything elseeeee….
