hehe, the story of this quote is that it was a thread about anthems i think, and somebody said that the skis were stiff, and so somebody quoted him and said sarcasticly "stiff, yeah like michael jackson around girls!"

Sorry, this is a bit late but here are the results after ROUND 3:

ROUND 3 saw the inclusion of 10 new models and some MAJOR moves in popularity which garnered a NEW Number 1 Ski with a huge gain by Salomon of 27pts which to date is the largest increase...I've been trying to calculate after each 10 but for this round, I kinda slacked...sorry...anywhoo whoo...here are your results, with the top 5 changing and a new entry into it.

Also, I'll give you a break down of all the skis by company stat and will also include the Rockered/Reverse Cambered/Early Rise skis vs Traditional Camber Stat...

The Top 5 and greatest gaper gains...

This week saw the crowning of a new number ONE: The Salomon Suspect. It looks like the graphics are winning you guys over and it rules as your Park Ski. The Suspect Garnier slid itself into first place with a steezenatious +27 and a jump of two positions. Another huge push came from none other than the K2 ObSETHed moving from 11th position to crack the Top 5 in 4th...Not bad after a 21pt push; an assertion of your love for a ski to do your 150ft double fronts. Salomon continued its climb with the third largest gaper gain with the Dumont +16 and a move from 20th to 11th position. Chronics/JJs/Josh Bibby Pro have been consistant Gs with their scores rounding out the 5...but we saw a dip out of the 5 for the Volkl Chopstick under some early mixed reviews about the handling of the ski...but too early to call.

Rockered/Reverse Cambered/Early Rise skis vs Traditional Camber STAT

In the world of R/R/E skis vs TCambered skis, it's a 30-20 split....cambered skis still dominate and are widening the gap, but the ever growing market for reverse/rocker/early rise skis is slowly steamrolling along...I wonder what the stat is between last years r/r/e skis and this year. I'll update next time on the answer.

Dumont vs Hall STAT

I know in the world of scores Hall and Dumont are 1and 1a...but in the world of marketing skis, the Dumont runs away. Even if you added the scores of the THall (newly added in this round)(1pt) and the Pipecleaner(9pts)...you don't come close to Dumont's 21...it's not until you add in the ARG that you best the prodigy of Bethel Maine ...3skis to 1 WOW...you have spoken.

Ok I'll do an update of the Ski Company Stat later...and Round 4 begins now and I'll update again in 10 or so more posts. If there is any other stat you want me to look at or that you can derive from these rankings let me/us know.

can someone post a pic of the kung fujas? I can't find them online. they look dope. Salomon is sick because of the new sidewall, way better than that crappy tech shit they did before.

I'll be posting a new update pre fall stats and then continue on post October posts...I'll try to keep up every 10 posts or so. I've just done the stats dated into June and basically it's very interesting what ski everyone was hyping about right after SIA and what skis seem to be the ones to be littering the forums now...

...some interesting numbers...certainly not a true indication of what everyone is buying but very interested in finding out what you guys are going to ACTUALLY buy this season now that reviews are in and we are in October...SO...keep your posts of your 5 best 2009 skis coming and I'll do my best to keep the stats coming.

3. Volkl Kuro (my replacement for the Bibby and Chopstick) (3pts)

you'll regret taking chronics off your list, seriously the most fun park ski on the market, not a noodle, more pop than pepsi, stomps, stable, but still butterable.
 
dear thread creator...how is the suspect like the ar6. they are totally different imo. the suspect is stiff while the ar6 is relatively soft
 
1. Armada Jp vs. Julien - I think it would be a great pow ski for the East Coast and from the description, versatile enough to shred groomers too. Has a nice amount of rocker.2. Surface watch Life - Looks like it would be an excellent choice for just jibbing and destroying everything on the mountain, which I love to do. Wide enough for some East Coast pow, and to be a stable platform on jumps and rails in the park. Also from a new, small company.3.Line Sir Francis Bacon - Same reason as Jp vs. Julien, except not rockered, and more playful/flexible maybe?. I'm hoping to get a pair of these or the JJs cheap at the end of the season if I have enough $ left over from college.4. Amplid Antidogma - A new ski from a new company. This basically looks like a perfect park ski. I've never heard a bad thing about them. I think they will get huuuuugggeeee this year.5. Armada AR6 - Armada's skis just keep getting better each year. Like the Amplids, I've never seen any really negative feedback on them. Everyone I know with Armada Ar5s/6s loves them to death. Probably the best park/all mountain ski out there.
