Your top 3 favorite bands

The awesomely bumped Zeppelin thread made me think what peoples favorite bands are.

Some factors you might want to consider when picking them might be:

- How long have you been listening to them?

- Have you ever had a period you didn't like them?

- How high is the percentage of songs you like by them?

- Will you always love this band?

For example:

When I was 14 y/o, I was a HUGE the Offspring band. Back then that was DEFINITELY my favorite band ever. No doubt about it. Now? Fuck no. Not even in my top 50. It was just then and for a shorter period of time I liked them.

In no particular order:

- Dire Straits

- Led Zeppelin

- 3 Doors Down (I know, right? Can't help it!)

Three bands I've LOVED every single moment for the last 10+ years. And I love 80+% of their songs, which in my case anyway is very rare.

Curious what other peoples choices are!
 
1. Wu Tang2. Wu Tang3. Wu Tang

but seriously i do always find myself going back and listening to them when i get bored of other music. fuck the haters
 
As much as I love (some) Wu Tang, I wouldn't really consider them a band. They're more of a hip-hop group.

I'm talking rock (and all variations), metal, pop etc. here. Guitar music. Not sampled/electronic music

 
In no particular order: Beck, Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio. I can listen to any of their albums beginning to end without skipping a song and enjoy it every time.
 
1. The Who 2. Led Zeppelin 3. Pink Floyd. I love my classic rock. Last semester, my teacher told my class that we each needed to name our top 10 songs of all time. Id like to hear some people's answers for this.

Never ever

- Will you always love this band?

Yes, I saw them on Saturday, and it was amazing. All their albums are amazing, I love their sound and everything.

Modest Mouse

- How long have you been listening to them?

We Were Dead... Came out and I really got into them, knew of them before hand. Loved all their music, especially their old stuff. In July, I bought the entire discography off of iTunes and listened to it non stop

- Have you ever had a period you didn't like them?

Nah

- How high is the percentage of songs you like by them?

90

- Will you always love this band?

Yes. The Lonesome Crowded West is currently my #1 album

Led Zeppelin/Rolling Stones

- How long have you been listening to them?

21 Years

- Have you ever had a period you didn't like them?

I think that's against the law

- How high is the percentage of songs you like by them?

80

- Will you always love this band?

Always. So many different genres and approaches to music were experimented with with both the bands. I can't really see music now without their influences
 
impossible for me to narrow it down to 3. pink floyd, chilli peppers, kings of leon, black keys, blink 182
