Your thoughts on some music

My band just finished up recording a little 5 song demo. It was all recorded, mixed, edited, and arranged by us in our house. We're still finishing up on some final mastering on a few tunes but they should be up within a day or so. But for this current time we've got 2 tracks up at www.myspace.com/thewearings

The music is rock based, think along the lines of my morning jacket or bands of the like.

We're just starting to get our name out now, but some feedback would be appreciated, and if you like it, add us as a friend on myspace or on our facebook page and tell your friends. Cheers
 
Christmas was too slow and boring, it just about put me to sleep.

The 2nd song is ok... the timing seems off in the beginning. and your vocalist need to put out a little bit more power... and your music sounds a bit treble heavy with a lack of bass... it needs more ooomph to it (more bass will help that) so it doesn't put me to sleep...

the jazzy thing happening in the 2nd song is cool

much better than most bands in the myspace stages but you don't really do anything special.
 
yea the kick drum didn't get mixed too well. Our drummer left for florida for a week so we've had to deal with the recordings as the are because we had to mic the whole kit on one track - apparently the kick wasn't loud enough.
