Im gettin a new pair this year and i was wondering what everyone thought of the skis they are on now...

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

i cant ski im always depressed im 12 yrs old and 274lbs. somebody help me

salomon 1080s - decent ski, good in powder, shitty on ice, good in pipe and pipes, so-so on rails.

volkl 03-04 v expressions - great on ice, pipe, rails, groomed. pretty good on jumps. so-so in powder.

03-04 rossi scratch - N/A on rails (not allowed to use them on rails). pipe great, jumps good. Powder N/A. groomed comfortable and controllable.

I can't decide if I want 4frnt or TM's.

i just ordered my 4frnts. MSP 170. I decided to get the 4frnts instead of the TMs because i'm going to switzerland in january, and the width would be helpful in the 4 feet of powder! (i can always hope)

Last season I used 720s, candides and elan AMPs. Candides were really nice skis and amps were pretty good in pipe, but weak skis. Im gettin new ones for next season... TMs, PEs, tweaks or madtrix

 
pocket rockets (175cm)...pretty fucking sweet. Great in western pow, but just as good arcing turns back east. Switch is decent and they're lighter than you'd think.

02-03 madtrix-heavy but built to last, awsome and stable on jumps and on landings, carve a sweet arc and are easy to handle in the bumps

02-03 V pros-super stiff, super light, wider then ur average park ski (83 underfoot), badass everywhere

I got the 02-03 skogens.... bottom line, they are awesome, I have the 01-02 mother ships, and these skis are so sweet in any conditions, I just got the PE's, and I just sked them in hood, and I loved them for jibbing, and I have the machete huckters, these skis are only good for hauling ass in a straight line on six inches of powder.

they are all sick skis though.....

pocket rockets are a great ski for powder and they arn't that half bad on the groomers considering there width and shit, but i was not able to try them at a park so i can't say about that, but i heard they arn't great for park, again thats just what i heard.

 
I was not able to use the 03-04 scratchs on metal rails because they belong to the rep and those skiis can only be used on metal rails by the person who owns them and I didn't own them, I wish i did though.

1080 silvers....good all over the mountain...lacks a little bit of edge grip i'd say (but i was used to race skis)...jumps good, rails good, pipe ok...a little soft for bigger riders, perfect for the smaller-medium build

i have the old blue teneighties and they used to be good, but now they're kinda turning into noodles. they make this wierd popping sound when i flex them. and pocket rockets are kinda bendy but they were good for park and pow until i broke them.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
 
i have atomic stomps 176. fabulous. i love them. i ski western mtns. they do everything i expect. good in pipe rails and table tops. good for rippin on groomed. not super fast but do what they go to when they need to. good for back country jumping.

i have the 2004 Public Enemys, i havent ridden em' yet but thjey look so sick, there fat, nice tips, thick ass edges, and they r a little stiff but that's alright.

i had the mavricks, which were ok but i bought them based on how much money i had at the time, this year im lookin at pe's or tm's, it was gonna be armadas but looks like car insurance will prevent me from havin the money to getem

snowblades are good when u first learn handplants, other than that I use normal skiis, I use snowblades sometimes when I teach the young ones how to do handplants and spins in the pipe and jumping to switch on the flats and shit, they are sometimes to young to do that on normal skis.

i got the 03-04 darksides.....

they're good on ice, great in powder (east coast pow...) nice in the trees, and they launch you on jumps...... kinda hard to spin though...

ive got the 03 scratch FS and they are just perfect for me. they are great in the park and on rails and in the park but what really surprised me is how well they can perform in powder (west coast). try and figure out what you will be doing with your skis then find one that fits you

Not being able to speak is not the same as not speaking. You seem as if you like to talk. I like to let people talk who like to talk. It makes it easier to find out how full of shit they are.
 
i really like my 01 02 1260's i ahvent found any problems in the park and they aer ok on all mountain

 
pro teens look interesting, however I'm too tall for them but they are the most high qual junior ski made to date! I cant wait to see what kye peterson throws with them on this year!
