Hey

I got about a gran in the bank at te moment and i was wondering what you think would be my best lens choice... I shoot ski and skate so

mmaby the 10.5 fush from nikon, or the 50mm 1.4 + anotherr flash or smalllens, or a wide like the tokina 11-16mm maby the 10-24 from nikon..

so those was my mains choices.. so what you think would be my best choice if you got any other idea hit me up!

woops, ignore the link, just noticed you're a nikon shooter, but anyway, 17-40 would be my main lens if i had to pick just one

right now i am using a 14mm f2.8 sigma, 80-200 f2.8 nikon (those are both owned by the place i intern at), an 18-200 3.5-5.6, and a 50 1.8.
so far, i have the most fun with the 14, but the 80-200 is a close second- i use it very often. the 50mm is nice but i dont like the crop factor, and its limited in focal length to just 50mm so i often put it away when i need something other than 50mm. same goes for the 14. the 18-200 is a great lens, but doesnt have the lower aperatures that i find myself needing a lot.
i was looking into a tokina 11-16, because at the end of the summer i have to give back all the equipment i am borrowing. it will be useful, but i doubt i'd walk around with it for a day of shooting. i woul dhave to agree that something like a 17-70 f2.8 or close to it would probably be the most useful to me, but it really depends on what you will be shooting.

I shoot mainly handrails at night, sunny days in the park, late night skate session.. so low aperture is very important to me

tamron 17-50 f/2.8, nuff said, it's fast for night shots, wide angle enough at 17, super sharp, and overall awesome

This.
However the 50, 1.8 (canon) that I got I love using right now. That would always be lots of fun, and pretty inexpensive. Im sure the nikon verison is not much over $100. (Thanks Allen)
