Your legendary piece of gear.

We all have that piece of gear that has lasted a decade and we still rely on it. Something sentimental, invincible, nostalgic, or unique that at this point is one of a kind.

I'll go first, these are my legendary grade ski poles. Scott punishers, payed $11 for them in 2010 from a rental bin at the 'play it again' I worked at. Before these, I went through three plus pairs of poles per season. The leather bands are the shit and I want to remake them. Anyone know what year or how they came to be, let me know. Somehow there is still paint and they are for sure punishers. Decade of use1055014.jpeg

I wouldve taken a picture of mine but I forgot to put my phone on the charger last night. Anyways my dad bought me these for christmas when I was first getting into park riding, and he tought me how to cut them down to size since they were massive on me. They have been stollen twice, and both times they have found there way back to me somehow

Probably my Burton brown pants or my Oakley Bradford jacket. Both are from 2008-2010 range and both live on through my buddy who still uses them.

ive got some first generation kartel 98's which have the serial number of 001

pretty wild that i somehow managed to bag the very first ever production pair. truly a blessing

still riding em hard too

I tend to buzzsaw through gear like it's nothing but the gear that has probably been with me the longest is my pair of Armada TST's

I got them for super cheap because they had been drilled a few times and needed a tune. Picked them up the season I returned from NZ and slapped some kingpins on them. Been running them HARD since 2016 as my go-to pair when I don't know what the conditions are going to be or if I'll be doing backcountry or not.

They have been around the world with me now - Australia, Europe, Japan... they just automatically gain a spot in my gear bag because they just handle everything I've ever been able to throw at them. Light enough but not too light.

I’ve Parted with so many skis from traveling ?

Im jealous

Salomon STH 13s that i got in 2015 mounted to the pair of soul 7s (lmao) that I got for my 15th birthday. I ripped one of the edges from the skis on some rocks and then got some JJs, and mounted the same bindings onto them. Bindings have been going strong for 7 years now, and they’ve seen hundreds of days and huge progression, and made me into an STH loyalist

I've unloaded a bunch of used gear and passed things onto others..one thing that I'll hold onto forever is my lid..6 years and still protecting the noggin. You know i gotta flex the ns sticker..rip to full tilts too

I also love my helmet and wear it everytime I ski, but helmets do outdate. I think it's about every 4-5 years if I remember right the foam loses its structure or degrades somewhat overtime and can't absorb as much energy which can be the difference between a concussion and not. Bern makes great shit, just thought I would mention it if you were unaware

I have a hand stitched red pullover hood thing hand made by my homie as a "prototype" for my oversize dome. I have worn it almost every time I ski for years and I am finally going to let it rest because I got a new one.

I haven't been skiing a decade yet but I'm pretty my Bloom pants are that old. I bought them used from someone on here. I now wear them for work

I have a pair of ski race poles that are probably older than me that were given to me my first season.

I do however have some tshirts that are at least 20 years old!

I got a Da Kine heli pro pack from the late 90s or whatever that has been my go to since middle school.

I've had the same pair of old Line poles going on their 10th season (released the 2012-13 season). Somehow they've managed to stay strong after being my main pair after all these years. Broken every other pair I've used when I needed something shorter or longer but through some magic these are still alive.

My Petitors from the same year are also still going strong, save for ripping out my heelpiece and remounting them. One of the most fun skis out there

That’s so funny, I came here to post my Wallschticks too. I’ve forgotten mine on the roof of my car, roof of a homies car, by the fire pit at big Boulder (still there a week later) and have dropped them off the lift. Lol still kickin!!!!!

Nice man, I think the wallishctick graphics have always been pretty cool. The first time I lost these I found this tiny kid using them, they were up to his neck, but I could tell they were mine from the grips being destroyed by the rope and the missing graphic from being cut. I talked to his parents and got em back. The second time the ski patrol at my local found them dumped on the side of a run when they were closing and put them in lost and found

I’ve got this pair of ski socks that have gotta be going on nearly a decade. Stars and Stripes smart wools, with a big hole on the shin on one of them so I usually wear a second thinner pair of socks underneath. Just feels weird if I’m not skiing in them

I have a pair of Level 1 x FT collab boots and a pair of 2010 Seth Morrison FT boots i got for 40$

I still ride the SM’s and when parts break, i replace them with parts off the Level 1’s

Still waiting on K2 to sell boot parts… i don’t wanna tear apart the L1’s but i got no other choice

Probably the fender liner screws i still have from taking jems car apart to fix his ac compressor in the middle of washington

I've had the same pair of poles for at least 8 years now. Ran them over with my car in Tahoe this year and they're still fine. My Kartels are reaching that level too but will likely take a backseat to a new pair in a year or two but ill still ski them for spring corn.

I have my favorite hat for spring when it gets really soft and I wear that and sunglasses. Had it for quite a few seasons now its a black, Black Diamond hat. It made it home from Killington on the roof of my car pressed against the roof rack. Not only that, It made it back to Killington the next day. Thats round trip from the coast so 475mi it hung on up there for doing well over 70mph at points on 90/91. Thing will disintegrate off my head before I stop wearing it.

I've had these Analog (burton) pants since 2009? This pic is from 2011 i think, notice the APO's. I still bust them out a couple of time a winter. They look like mogul pants but they're snowboarder pants. Only Lrg's but plenty baggy.

Same, I bought a Heli Pro my freshman year of high school that is still going strong 23 years later.

My buddy has a Nike x CCP hoodie from China it’s fucking insane he wears it all the time and gets the dirtiest looks from people

The tag is in Chinese too idk where you would even acquire something like that but it’s bonkers

All the cool retro Polaris Snowmobile Wool sweaters and long johns my parents gave me from the 90s. Still rock them skiing almost daily. They're reliable af.

I’ve had the same pair of dakine mittens since around 2015. They smell like shit now matter how hard I try to clean them so I have a couple new pairs but they are still fully in tact and get broken out on rain days

my 2016 armada bdog. skied them as my daily driver for two seasons, and then they turned into my beaters, and they are still my beater skis/urban skis. they have had 3 pairs of bindings on them at this point. broke the sth 13 that i bought with the ski. tried to replace them, but griffons would be cheaper. broke the griffons and got the griffons replaced on warranty.

the fact that the edges are still holding in the ski is amazing. they are heavily worn down and cracked, but still good.

they are still out a couple times a season, they are still one of the funnest skis i own

Been rocking my Panda poles from 2006-7ish. I have an under helmet TGR beanie from 1997 that I break out on colder days. 1998-99 Line Darkside skis that are in decent shape but will be going to a new home in the near future. Still have my ski socks from when I was in HS in the mid 90's, not sure why I have kept them around for so long.lol

my dalbello lupos seem to survive everything but all my friends have issues with them, maybe i’m just lucky.

and i also have some dakine mittens that are crazy old that my friends girlfriend patched for me and now they’re better than ever

I just downloaded a pic cuz I don't feel like going to take a pic and then airdropping it to my computer.... but I bought this O'neill jacket in like 2015 on a sale rack at my local ski shop for $70

Its still goin strong today and I refuse to buy a new jacket cuz its so comfy and has enough pockets

full of PBJ stains, couple of burn holes, probably an 8th worth of old weed crumbs are collectively housed in this coat

has a mysterious brown stain on the back that I can't get out

this fucker is still warm as when I got it, and honestly probably the most truly windproof jacket i've owned and always keeps me dry on boho storm days

I still have an Orage corduroy one-piece that I traded for from someone on NS circa 2005. I refer to it as the "Teddybear Suit," and it still makes an appearance on the mountain once or twice a year for deep days.

I have too. This is one of the few pairs I have kept. I ditched a pair of Fischer Ranger 108s, a pair of Salomon QST 118's, and a pair of Rossignol S4's recently.

Other pairs ive ditched - Pure 3 Wailer 112's, Rossignol Steeze, Salomon Czar, All my old Boone skis (there might be a pair or two of the powder model stored somewhere) countless pairs of 100ish underfoot directional skis - like Bonifides, and Experience 98's, and Mantras... two pairs of Gotamas... damn the list just fucking goes on...
