agreed it sucks ass if you didn't grow up there and don't know people and don't understand their culture. if that's the case then it's zero fun.
also, no snow, which is why i moved as far away as i could as soon as i graduated high school. suuuuuuuper fucking humid, which also sucks.
my gf is from wyoming and she worked in houston with me this summer at a PR firm while i was working for major league soccer. long story short, she hated it SO much and never wants to go back.
i dont really blame her, honestly, ill probably never spend more than a month there at any given time for the rest of my life, but it's fun for short bits if youve got friends there and don't hang out with complete dipshits. the food is also really good if you know the right places because so many different cultures come together in houston.
my dad played football for UT though, so ill always be a ridiculous longhorns fan...but i dont wear orange texas sweatshirts when i ski or anything, i try to distance myself as much as possible from that crowd
