Your Job and How much a week

Whats your job to make money? I know some of you guys are in college or school. But I graduated highschool in the year of 2009 and dropped out college because of to much partyin and never did my homework.

Anyways, I work at HON Geneva which is I make office furniture chairs and it's a worldwide business. I make about 500 dollars a week.

worked construction in the summer 640ish a week give er take depending how many hours exactly i put in, $16 an hour, usually worked 8 to 4:30 and took a half hour for lunch.. but im going to uni, just started my first year hopefully i can stick with it

Summer worked for Sun and Fun as a mtb guide- 1600 a month

Winter work for Neige aventure as a ski tech- 3500 a month.

life could be worse.

I mow a few lawns and make $100 a week.... Working like 3 hours a week. So it's like $30 an hour give or take a few, but I only work a few hours a week and I get paid by the job not the hour. I'm only 17 and still live with my parents so I just save it over the summer and spend it all winter. Works out pretty well.

before I got laid off... I was making $875 for 35 hours a week....
:(

Now I make unemployment.

i work on an airport as a guardian. well i get 4900$ month but sometimes i have to work on weekend, that sucks!

in winter i am gunna work in a library, u know put the books on the right shelf, clean up. haha i am trying to explore as many jobs as possible :)

I'm way over paid and way underworked and yet I some how manage to be up at 445 procrastinating on a report I have to present to my boss in a few hours.

happened 3 weeks ago.
I'm now sleeping on my dad's couch in Minnesota.Oh how things can change.
I went from a loft in Downtown LA, a swanky view of Melrose, and the nicest computer I could have ever hoped for to a broken macbook pro and a couch in less than 1 month.
But whatever, in 1 - 2 months I'll be either living in Mammoth again or Breckenridge not making as much, but just as happy if not happier.

That sucks rachy. I was laid off at Musco Lighting where we make lights. I got paid under employment. sucks though. but I finally got a job. searched searched for ever though.

Good luck Rachy! Ski well this year!

yea, gotta stay positive. That sucks, good luck getting back, you'll get there soon enough :)

No offense, but if you can go downhill that fast, you weren't being very wise with your money. I don't understand how people can spend everything they make so that when something does go wrong, they are already in a hole.

easy, i have a nice pad and like nice things...But if something went tits up id be completly screwed i have like a grand in the bank for my lift pass thats pretty much all my savings.

all my summer earnings were spent on repairs to my bike and rent.

You could be making 3 times that..... depending on experience / industry etc...

Marine Mech Eng - you need to be working in Oil. Hit me up if you want some advice....

I worked on grounds maintenance for a golf course made 10.30 an hour work anywhere from 3-5 8 hour shifts. But now I'm back at school and can only work a weekend half shift.

Yah that's so legit. My friends older brother did that in downtown Denver and would get like $40 an hour on Friday and Saturday nights. That's way more than I made, I was at like 10 ish an hour for lifeguarding 50 hours every week for the whole summer

i work at BP and get paid $8. and work 3 times a week for 2.5 - 4.5 hours. pretty shitty job. i also get paid tips to.

Yea it can be pretty intense. I normally play with another dude and we do a celtic punk thing so the night after Great Big Sea played bluesfest in town we set up outside the gate and made $180 in 25 minutes.

Yah like on good nights can't you bring in like a few hundie? Especially if everyone is all drunk and still like feelin the music

In college right now.

i broadcast junior hockey for 30 bucks a game...and we do 25 home games...so its perfect for beer/food/gas money.

i sling pizza 35 hours a week
make anywhere from 280 to 300 a week
awesome job, my boss is super cool. all we do is listen to music and make pizza.
yet, i am feeling a raise pretty soon.

during the summer 440 a week before taxes for a 40 hour week.

take home is a whole new ball o wax though. i work a full day a week to pay uncle obama

same here...but I do get more than $200 a month...I get $142 a week cause I had a pretty good job before I got laid off, and now that I'm in school again I have less time to work, but I do need a new job.

i'm still at college, but between lessons i can go to this land surveying company where i basically do some office work to help em out.this is stuff like scanning/copying, opening mail, making small reports on works, etc...
i get paid 9euro/hour and it doesn't really matter how hard i work, as long as i don't do other stuff....
so its an excellent deal for a student ! :)

just out of curiosity how much did you make before? because i have a part time job now working roughly 20-25is hours a week and from people ive talked too based on my summer income (completely different than my income now) i could be collecting unemployment of nearly more than i make working now.

which is MESSED UP if their figures are correct i would make more money for doing nothing. talk about a good incentive to work... pause not.

I work for the Seattle Housing Authority as a department administrative and technical assistant. I make $941.43 a week.

I don't get any money, my number was negative, -200, (200). I have no income and spend at least 200 dollars a month on shit(booze), luckily my parent pay my rent and give me some money for food, but as soon as im out of school thats gonna be over.

I work as a Barista in Seattle making about $360 a week at minimum wage. But our cafe kills in tips. The tip pool usually averages out to about $2/hour each week.

I was making $350/week salary and had commission and bonus's on top of that +compensation for driving around for work. The bummer is, my state doesn't count all the extra stuff when calculating unemployment, so even though I was making anywhere between $500-$600 a week regularly, they only counted the $350.

And, yes, it is messed up, I'm actually in a position where I would most likely LOSE money to get a job (because it wouldn't be a good job, so making minimum wage, and I don't have many free hours to work), so as shitty as it is, and I hate doing it, but I'm just coasting on my unemployment until it runs out (which is 99 weeks after you've been laid off...that's almost 2 years, which is insane).

However, now that you already have a job, unless you got laid/fired (not left on your own terms) AND you get fired/laid off from this job, you can't collect.

except unless you are making a TON during school as well, you get it all back at the end of the year anyways.

so more likely thank uncle whoever-the-gov-of-minnesota is.

well not working anymore, just school, but my summer job was $30 a day, including 3 meals and lodging, but my work day started at 6 am and didnt end til about 10. i was a breakfast cook and took people on horseback rides through yellow stone. so pros:lived in yellowstone, got to do something i loved cons:made nothing over the summer, and worked my ass off.

err, no, sorry. bad math. but still, you made $1.88/hr?? harsh.

Seems like a rad job though.
