Looked again - your post isn't the original? - don't see it...you don't know your boys name?

Austin Torvinen representing Duluth MN. Got some recognition by making superunknown finals but easily could've had a career with Level 1. Unfortunately injuries ended things but the dude's doing well now from what I hear, and can bench more than you.

Also can't sleep on the one and only Kendozer. Thx schoess.exe for putting this one together. And if you see this great dozer-of-ken, bummer that the Lutsen pilgrimage is cancelled this year... but let's plan a day with the homies next season!

Guy is sick, midwest skiers truly are rail gods

Sean Mullins and I worked together at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT in the 13/14 season (I think) Him and he brother Kyle were always so much larger than the mountain. I guess Sean put something out this year. Glad he is still shredding!!

Connecticut is definitely a hidden gem for park skiing talent imo. Especially when it comes to rails but that's prolly more an all of the east coast thing.

What ever happened to the Tanaka's?

Last thing I remember from Luke was a poem posted on here: "If the Ocean Were Lotion". I hope wherever he is he is still putting pen to paper.

and remember his brother or cousin landis was making some sick edits for a while?

Nick Martini, not that he didn’t make it big, but that he just kept getting taken out by injuries. Could have had an amazing ski career but worked with the hand he was dealt and now Stept is wildly successful.

had to make a new account to get back in here. Luke Brown was the best skier I had ever seen at this time (I’m from Maine and never rly looked online for skiing then) and most solid kid out. Kid is the truth

He rode Keystone A51 one season I was working there, blew my mind on the daily. a cork 5 transfer over the rainbow rail, last pad before the lift comes to mind.

I'm an old man now by skier standards but many years ago I spent a season in Summit County, mostly skiing Keystone's park, where I found myself consistently wowed by this nameless dude who could only be described as a Ghost. I came to learn it was a guy named KDay, a legendary Yoda figure among Summit's finest.

https://www.newschoolers.com/forum/thread/606585/Ghost-of-Keystone?page=1

He's still out there ghosting. Show up first chair, hit the sketchiest new jump in A51 first try with a smooth unatty cork, then peace out to build some goddamn cabinets. or maybe you'll find him passed out woods drunk after last chair.

Sean mullins was my favorite kook I’ve every met, last I saw of him he was strictly skiing in safety glasses and not goggles, and he had wrapped himself around a tree at the jay peak ski the east stop and somehow walked away totally fine, he definitely is a legend around the east coast.

Hell yeah, dude had one of the best promo videos of its time. They were also way before their time with rockered skis, I remember he made some nordicas hella rockered

when did you work in the shop there? I grew up skiing at sundown and there weren’t many park skiers at all, but that was way back in the day. I know dylan natale is a CT kid and they had a postseason shoot there for Wicked around ‘03, shout out jarrod moss

already posted mine a while back, but shout out to another one. Rob Billheimer. This guy was rocking original 1080s and was destroying park. I remember him being the first guy i saw ever ride park and from that day watching him and a crew hitting big jibs was when I wanted to ski. Next season I had the guts to go and talk to him and he was a super nice guy who would let me lap with him and the other park rats.

Comes many names in my head but few Scandi skiers- Simen Aarseth Gjelsvik and Fred Inge Guttormsen

Simen got silky smooth style, creative tricks and that flavour that we all are looking for.

My man Fred is so tech, can mirror every trick both ways and should definitely made it.

Also any skier from Ruka.

But one of my biggest inspiration in skiing have always been underdawg Reinis Stabins.

Will leave this video so you can see why.

This was fucking insane, totally forgot about this guy. all the skiers in the eDoggo crew were really good and super ahead of their time, if you don't believe me look them up on Vimeo/youtube

Friend of mine and inspiration by the name of Will Schooler. He was the definition of style. He was our hill's Hornbeck. He never really wanted to be Pro per say. He just wanted to ski.

After skiing our local hill and destroying features, he decided to go to a ski college in Nelson BC. He started riding Pow there and it was wicked to see someone with such a love for skiing.

I was signing up for our freestyle program when some friends of mine told me outside the lodge that he had died. He was hitting a handrail in Nelson and hit his head on the stairs and wasn't wearing a helmet. He was and still is one of by biggest influences for skiing. His Skis have been mounted into one of the trees at our hill's terrain park.

Ski In Peace Willy

I am so sorry to hear this.

Dude! I was trying to remember the name of that clothing brand the other day. Those Edoggo hoodies were so insanely tall that the brand even caught shit on NS during the height of the gangster era hahaha.

No question in my mind : FredyFerl.

guy used to rip around my local mountain in baggy suits with his sponsors plastered in his back.

crazy rail game.
