Basically I'm looking for some new music to listen to, because I'm bored to death with everything I'm already listening to, so reccommend the bands that you like and think are worthy of the honor of being listened to by me. Just so you know the kinda stuff I like, the bands I've been listening to for a while are Incubus, AFI, Cave-In, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down, Rx Bandits, Audiovent, and Cursive. Interest me, please.

Interpol is pretty sweet, they sound a lot like Joy Division. The Strokes are coming out with a new album, I've heard a couple songs and it's good. There is this band a friend of mine is in called American Head Charge, it is a little Slayeresque, but solid.

Weakerthans

The Shins

The Decemberists

Commander of the Silent Army

Viva La Resistance!

I hate Modest Mouse. My g/f loves Modest Mouse. The shins are opening?

Jrich... what else you listen to? Beachwood, Jim O'Rourke, Belle & Sebastien, Stereolab, My Bloody, SOngs:Ohia, Mojave 3, Polyphonic, Sea and Cake, Delgados, Mogwai????

Pavement is my favorite, I love Modest Mouse - I think people group them into that emo shit, and it is not like that, I compare them more to the Pixies (who are sweet), Loveless by My Bloody Valentine is good, Yo La Tengo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (The Jesus and Mary Chain),and this SF band called Swell.

Yeah, Thrice is good for sure, and I've heard a lot of those bands, but I haven't heard a lot of those bands too, so I'll give 'em a try. Thanks a mill homeys.

people can rattle off names of sweet bands (the millhouse kid knows what he's talking about), but are you really going to listen to them?

oh, i didn't see your last post. Lately ive been quite a bit of godspeed. they're pretty.. slow? i dunno, maybe youd like them, then again maybe not.

I was going to go see Silver Mt... last weekend with Broadcast but didn't... Pavement is great. I don't group Modest Mouse with emo, I just think it's obnoxious, to each their own.... Godspeed is good. Saw Yo La, with Portastatic and Daniel Johnston (haha) a few months back, great show.... I'm getting drugged and going to see Ween in a couple weeks too, should be fun.

We have learned that terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength; they are invited by the perception of weakness. And the surest way to avoid attacks on our own people is to engage the enemy where he lives and plans. We are fighting that enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan today so that we do not meet him again on our own streets, in our own cities. - George W. Bush

Flabiscus I just saw Modest Mouse and the Shins in San Fran, and it was great. The lead singer of MM lost his voice during the first of 3 shows, but luckily I went to the last one and he ripped. I've seen em 6 times and they are insane.
