It would serriously rock to have 2 of those Apple cinema displays. you could have like 5 pages of text on your screen at once...

you guys are f'ing rich and nuts

this computer is a p2 133mghz. beat that punks. with 512 ram boooo ya. i can't run anything

you guys are rich

i really dont get the dual monitors, i get how hooked up, but how do you use it? is it like one screeen split in half or like 2 screens with one mouse?

_______

*Brody*

The dual display lets you extend your desktop area... Right now mine is 2048x768. That's like having two 1024x768 images right next to eachother. So I can make programs like adobe photoshop and premiere take up two 'panels' which makes things incredibly easy. I can scroll from panel to panel with a mouse, it's just like hooking up another monitor. And, no, it does not 'mirror' what is happening in the first monitor. It's quite awesome for developing movies, images, code, etc. I can watch a dvd in one window and use my ATI Cable TV Tuner in the next. 117 channels of cable is pretty sweet on a flat panel.

No, I am not rich. I work hard all summer to afford this kind of stuff. Maybe if you got off of your ass and learned something and how to market yourself you too could charge $35.00 an hour to do web consulting, web design and system design. It's not that hard, and the money is great.

sick i got it so its like you have a huge ass screen with two windows open side by side, haha sweet thats awesome, how much do one of those side by side things cost

*JaSoN*

You don't have to do it with flat panels, you can do it with regular crt monitors. You can get yourself a dual display video card, they work the best or you can (if you have windows 2000 or windows xp professional) simply add two video cards to your computer. They can be one agp and one pci, two pci, etc. It will set itself up, it's extremely easy to do. I just wanted to go all out with the flat panels... It just seemed more swordfish-matrix like.

Yeah, I think you can do it with the new apple's too with the DVC connection. IT would be amazingly sweet to see dual cinema or cinema HD display next to eachother. That would just be insane. Here at school we have the dual 17 inch flat panel on our avid setup, that is sweet, however I do prefer our dual GHZ with the HD display over it. Editing on that computer is just insane with imovie and final cut pro.

my comp has got 300 horses of porn downloading power!!!
