Shittiest Camera Ever...

I like the hard drive, but thats about it.

Picture's not great, and it records in some lame ass .MOD format that doesn't work in any editor other than windows movie maker. I have to convert it before I can even use it in that. And even if I convert it imovie 06 won't let me use it.

It does, however, work with the trial version of the software that came with the camera....

maybe that one but on the 70-300 f2.8 i have the 1.4x which works beautifully

and Bangor, you have an orgasmic set-up, but i guess being in photo school you should

ehhh i've had bad luck with both of them..... they soften the image pretty hardcore. I've used the 1.4 both on my 70-200 2.8, 300 f/4, and a borrowed 300 2.8, and never really had good luck with it.......

it's really kind of ironic, i have a lot of camera gear but I'm in so many non-shooting classes right now that they're gathering dust....... I don't think the 1D's been out of my apartment in like a week.....

thankfully I have a couple gigs coming up so I'm gonna put an end to that BS, haha.

thats pretty bad, luckily i am privledge to be able to shoot 3-4 times a week at some pretty interesting places and events. I am most likely getting the non is 200 2.8 when i save...which should be pretty sick..i think IS is a bit overated though, what are your opinons on IS on the 200mm series

I have the non-IS 70-200 as well, it's great. IS is one of those things that's nice to have, but isn't really necessary.

I do like having it on the 300 f/4 that I'm borrowing right now though, not having that extra stop (2.8) makes a pretty big difference at that length......

That's another reason I don't like the teleconverters, your 2.8 turns into an f/4, or a f/5.6 with the 2x...... autofocus performance goes to shit, and if it's dark you're screwed.

really? I've read its just really useful when your on the move and not trying to carry around a big 4-500mm lens, but then again I havn't read much on how it affects immage quality...
