I know very little about photography but I absolutely love the colors + framing in this

Yeah that slight curve in the tree on the left really nicely offsets the straightness of the other trees too

just recently bought a 6d and a 35mm f1.4L ii

always wanted a camera, could never afford one during school...

Anyways, i went on this 2 hour hike late at night to get this shot. The post processing is AWFUL i know.. It was my first time taking a series of differently exposed shots and layering them together (or whatever the term is) in photoshop to take the best colors/exposure from each shot.

I wanted the city lights in the background, but it was too dark when they came on, so i shot us on the rock earlier when it was a bit lighter out, and took multiple shots as it got darker out. I got excited and exported the photo earlier than I should have. I should have spent more time putting it together.

here are a few more shots. haven't been on NS forever, so i haven't ever posted any of my photos since i bought a camera

Thought I took some great pictures the other day but then I went through them today and notice some spots on my lens......so yeah I guess I should go clean that off

Fall picture I took in Boulder...Now I only wish it would cool down here...worst start to a ski season in Colorado that I can remember in recent time.

As someone from VT... ha!

Nice shot though. I would've liked to see those colors be more vibrant if I were to critique. I like seeing something pop in symmetric, horizon-centered photos, especially landscapes. Also it seems a tad soft?

Thanks...I agree that the other one was a bit soft and could use more color...I feel like this one turned out better.

Forgot the 2nd shot, it's a 'my first dslr' shot.

First shot the location is the sex, framing is nice, location is THE sex, but the edit is way to Ken Rockwellian, you went all the way to saturation city.

It's brown as dicks so go full hipster VSCO on it, offset the exposure and BAM, 5000 reblogs on tumblr.
