is it just me or are the young kids startin to get crazier and crazier. take for example Willie Borm; kids 11 and does flats, rodeos, 900s and 450s. Emile Bergeron; 12-13 and doin mistys and shit. i have a friend, 12 yrs old ans is doin 720s and 450s on his first year of park. i think our sport has a bright future with all these kids slayin the slopes, but im a little scared that the sport is gonna be progressing to fast for us (normal mortals) to keep up. Comments or views? post 'em up.

dang... I just really started hitting the park halfway through this season... thought my penciled 3 was cool. and I'm 18... fml

yeah im done.
read my profile. i just want to be able to seven forward and switch, backflip frontflip, a few grabs, and im set. i learned all that shit and thats it. ill let the kiddos merk me in the park, i dont care for one second. i have to work to eat nigga, and if i crash and own myself im done. hahaha.
yeah shits retarded. im pumped for them. i wish it was me, but thats ok. i remember when warren miller was cool, and when the guys you looked up to were saucer boy and the fucking new canadian air force. so whateva.

i think it's awesome that kids can get that good. I can't spin more than a 540, but hey, i dont feel any pressure to learn 1080's or rodeo's. Why? cause i'm not gonna go pro and don't care to. I have fun doing what i wanna do on my skis. And tricks aside, i'm just happy that i participate in a sport that i can do until my legs give out.

Watch out for Michael Wilhelm. Last year was pretty much his first year in the park. Here is his second year in the park

what iv always wonderd, with the groms being so legit atm, why have there been no prodigies? like kye and sean p were when they were 11/14... i dont think a grom has been in a movie since then? but the groms are sick nowadays!

its great that there are so many kids killing it but i bet 3/4 of them couldn't ski a good powder run

Sad but true. I make sure that I take my guys out to the crud and junk amap. I try to make sure they are as steezy on the rest of the hill as they are in the park. Thankfully there is so much great footage of guys rippin up the back country. If it weren't for that, none of the "Young Ones" would be able to buy a turn outside of the park.

Come on Luc, I should be the one making this thread! I'm almost retired at the old age of 17 hahaha.Seriously though, these kids are so good because they're out every day, pushing it every run, and thats why they kill it. If you try to do that then you'll get pretty good pretty fast.

if you have it in you you could do so much just for 1 season.i dont have it and i dont ski that often.if i get 30 days a year im happy whereas those kids ski the entire season

The only difference between now and 4 years ago is the kids are more stylish with better grabs. Technically I am not see anything really new. There is just more of them now and rail tricks are more complex. so no, not really.

bump for progression. This was only last year that people were amazed by 10-15 year olds doing things like rodeos,misty,900,etc. Look at just about any of the top rated grom videos and they throw at least one double cork/flip. I also bumped this because at the young age of 16, I'm starting to feel outdated riding at my local park. Just wanted to spark some discussion.

This kid is just insane, even though I'm still young at 15 the kids who are 13-14 at my mountain kill it. I think it's just that kids are getting into park much earlier in there life then in the past.

I really don't care about keeping up. I just ride for fun. Even if that means floating backys through a 5 jump lone instead of doing spin varieties. I don't care how it looks.

It is true, there are tons of crazy good kids out there that are getting better by the minute. In my opinion, little kids will definitely rule our in near future. They are absolutely killing it, no matter how much you hate it. Plain and simple.

yea there are alot of young kids that kill it, but i like watching the older guys so much more. not that there are many older guys in skiing, yet, but the like 12-25 kids are just too techy for my taste. its when they get to around 30 when their skiing really gets fun and interesting to watch. like the nimbus crew, though none of them are old, they are just guys who have been around skiing for a long time and they seem to really know what skiings about and i enjoy watching them so much more than seeing another 14 year old who just learned a new double.
