Young BC rippers

Just wondering you guy's take on some kids with talent and motivation to rip up the BC. I mean besides Kye, not alot of young kids are concentrating on BC. Any names ?
 
I dont go BC, cuz i dont have the money to buy the gear, but i do concentrate on that kind of skiing more than i do park. Like powder and pillow lines and trees.

BC kickers are sooo fun. you don't have to be SPONSORED (spancered, spansserd, SPAnslgfheed) just to build a booter in the BC.
 
yeah i do some bc booters, but its pretty hard because to hit jumps in the BC you have to be very strong, and thats pretty hard when you are young. because landing in the BC is very hard and you need to have alot of skill
 
takes alot of effort to do...im 14 and been cat skking twice and been better then most of the people in my group(not trying to brag) it just takes someone to teach you how to actually learn how to ski powder. alot of people ski pow but are using at lot more effort while doing it then actually required
 
You are stupid on many levels.

1) BC refers to Back Country which is a "type" of skiing, not necessarily jumps. Its safe to assume this thread is geared towards back country skiing and not jumping.

2) Sponsorship has nothing to do with a persons ability or will to ski in the back country.

3) You are stupid.

maybe you young BC Rippers should take some avalanche awareness courses and learn about the gear you use when your out there before ski patrol finds a body buried in the snow...
 
most people are smart enough to do so, when i go backcountry i strap a reciever to my t-shirt and always carry a shovel,probe and snow analysis kit.and ive taken courses in avalanche tests so i know how to use my equpitment. not everyone is as ignorant as you think.

oh and im only 14
 
Just becuase you're sponsored doesn't mean you film BC..... you should have said "IF you film with a company or are making a movie you're more likely to build a BC booter to get good shots". Get over yourself.

its all i ski, i don't waste my time with the park. i think park is cool, and respect those kids for doing it, but it just isn't my thing. i bought a beacon, probe and shovel, and my av1, and can honestly say getting that gear and knowledge is the best skiing related decision i have ever made. nothing is better than waste deep untracked pow, and be the first to ski it. backcountry skiing and powder are honestly the only reason s i am still a skier, and i fucking love skiing. BC kicks ass, i would kill to go heli skiing in AK or something.
 
so names.... ? but by BC rippers I just mean some kids that shred outside the park, wether it's big steep lines, big drops, bc booters if u want. Just an all-mountain ripper that can throw down
 
1) the thread wasnt about BC BOOTERS, it was about BC skiing.

2) sponsorship has nothing to do with building one... its alot easier to try new tricks on. and you dont have to be sponsored to film.

3) there is never too many times
 
A lot of good thats going to do you when you get buried and your fourteen year old buddies who don't even know what a transceiver is can't find you.
 
Fuck This BC... Back Country.. Some people - Alot of people live in a province called BC. Ok I agree to call my Province British Columbia, if you people learn to type 8 more letters.

You are a fucking moron. People on this site need to accept that just because your young dosn't mean that you can't do this or that. Ur assuming this kid has very little skills and goes up with others the same age as him, who lack skill as well. You dont know shit because its not very hard to use a beacon, shovels, and a probe, if you read up on how to use them before hand.

Stop assuming shit and suck a dick you fagot.
 
travis steeger... if you have seen jiboboly or have skied at Whitewater you will know what i am talking about.
 
I don't know where you're from, but where I live if you're a skier you know how to use a tranciever by the time you're 12.
 
1m 13 (14 in 2 days) and i love shreding the BC, its just not many kids have it especialy out east, and even out west here some of the mountains are small and have lines that get old fast, i live in whistler and am constantley discovering new terrain. the kids that i think could realy go somewhere are busy with mountain biking and using skiing as a crossover. i love to shred big mountain and if i ever go pro, it would be skiing the BC.
