You would think that for as long as the invaders have been out, they would have tweaked them so they wount delam easily. i fould thins picture on page 54 of the feb 05 freeskier(the best of).

i think hes trying to say they have had the invaders out since feb 05'(date of the issue) and tht they should of known bout the delam problems by this winter and fixed it...i dunno

thats all im trying to say. the skis in the pic are deffinatly invaders, and for them being out so long you would think that line would realize that they delam so easily and fix it before they were put into production.

Well, let's think about this for a second. Those in the picture would be prototypes, made in the old factory in canada. For the ones everyone could actually buy, Line moved their factory to china. Due to customs delays, they had to pump out skis faster than normal, and it was rushed by someone new to the process. THAT would be why some people have had problems with invaders. And the quality control will be much better next year, as they have time to do it. So kids, seriously stop bitching about the skis you only spent $299 on, and if they have a little problem, oh well.

howd u know that about the factory switch?? is that old news that i havnt heard about or....?? but very good point. supposedly the new ones they r making have had the delam prob fixed

^buzzie: yea u r right. i just threw 2000 for my new setup. (skis, boot, bindings, poles, jacket, pants, gloves, helmet, goggles) and im 14 but my rents paid for like 1500 of it and i got 2 jobs

$300 is still alot of money to have wasted on a bad pair of skis. Fujatives aren't falling apart left and right, and they're the same price.

exactly i skied on the prototypes they were fine, all the problems are from the skis that i've seen being used this year

A lot of it is the shops' fault, there have been a lot of skis that shouldn't have been put on the wall for sale to begin with. The simple fact is, some pairs will have no problems and hold up great, others have been shown to have defects. New manufacturing process is bound to have a few bumps along the way... in this case, it's a consistency issue. By no means are the invaders bad skis. They're good for the price. SOME invaders have durability issues.

That's been my impression, and I don't know why this discussion is even still going on now that everyone's aware of how things are. The most promising thing is that even people who HAVE had durability trouble have been saying "It's a shame, too, because the skis are amazing/sick/really fun". So, you can buy them now, and probably won't have problems (the minority is louder in this case, make no mistake about that), or wait until next year.

seriously, do you people realize that invaders retail for like half the price of skis that they are being compared to. of course it's gonna delam and wear out faster than an armada or a k2.

quit your bitching

As well, people who have the invaders that do not have construction faults. Love them, simply it is a great ski that had some labour faults.
