the twin is more of a surf amp IMO cuz of its rediculous reverb. i would take the twin hands down if i was playing a jaguar or a strat, but the thunderverb is such a solid amp, especially for a bluesy guitar like the lucille

Have you ever heard the Fender Bassman '59?
It destroys every other amp. Literally. Marshall's blueprints for the full stacks and wiring were lifted straight from the Bassman's designs.

They just in the last few years released a '59 reissue. youtube it from a decent reviewing site or google reviews. It's the epitome of amp and about $1000 less than the thunderverb.
