does anyone understand what is happening? gas 4.13 per gallon.

its not just gas thats expensive, it hasnt happened yet but it will.......

anything that requires gas to make its way to your hands is going to start going up up up up.

FOOD, MILK, BEER, WEED, SKI GEAR, CONDOMS, ELECTRICITY, HEAT, POSTAGE pretty much everything requires some sort of fuel.

also to add to the housing crisis most young people now go to college and have a huge loan to pay off. so for the few who before could afford their loan and a place to live might not be able to anymore with the rising cost of living. like 40 percent of the country had a hard time keeping up on bills before now, the future doesnt look good for having cash.

if people dont have money for things they resort to theivery to get what they need. maybe im just being crazy but think about it.

sell your ice and buy a safe and lock up what cash ya got!

Wow that was the most informative thing i've ever heard. btw that rant has been made before on a forum. but if we dont see change it could happen. probaly not though

werd, this is so true, restaraunts, prices of vehichles, EVERYTHING is going up or will be on the rise in price, this gas is insane, all im going to say is that this shit needs to change. (not giving my 2cents cuz of e-fight breakout) it sucks for every single one of us whether you are republican or liberal. shits beat.

oh sorry if this is old news, i just thought about that ive been doing grocery shopping lately and i spend like 20 dollars for a few days of food. i cant afford too much more than that.

you must have bought some expensive name brand shit, i can go on like 50 bucks or less for a week(7 days)..

this is kind of an obvious thread but most people dont know it so. literally everything involves oil (well almost everything) in one way or another. just gotta change the lifestyle up and get used to it. just remember that no matter what we're goin thru right now, it could always be worse (1930's for a start)

+ 50 cent burritos + 99 cent pizzas + 88 cent cans of pringles + 59 cent 32oz powerade + 99 cent arizona ice tea.

Thats about it.

4 dollars for gas isn't really that bad. So all summer you spend 200 dollars more than normal on gas? So try and save a dollar or two every time you buy something else. You'll break even and life won't change.

haha well you guys wont live to be broke eating that shit. i prefer to eat greens, and vegetables and good meats and wheaties, not no name sucrose o's.....

yea you spend 200 more in gas in a summer. some people have a hard time right now saving 200 dollars in a summer...........

^you aparently have no rent or no electricity bill. probably dont pay for internet no car payment or no insurance. no drug dealer. you probably grow all your own food too. probably arent in college yet so no student loans.

its really tough for some people to save money as it is.

Yea guys be smart about shopping for food. I work on cashier at Wegmans and I've seen the prices rocket and I've heard so many people complaining about how much their spending every week. For all you guys buying your own grocries here are some obvious but helpfull hints; USE COUPONS!!! I never see people taking advantage of this but the people that do can save like 15$ on a weeks supply of food, buy in bigger quantities (bulk, family size ect...), stay away from name brands, stay away from buying drinks and candy and all that stuff, it can waste loads of money. I hoped that help, if you can save on grocries then I'm sure gas won't be such a stress this summer when it climes up even higher.

^very helpful advice, i get good food but its always on sale and or have coupons from the sunday paper

or I could live in a small alaskan community of 100 people where I actually do hunt, fish and grow all of my food..

Sometimes restaurants don't change their price, but they change the portion of food you get (smaller), which sucks.

go food shopping at convience stores instead of actually food stores i know the cumby around my house has a killer deal like 5 panini sandwiches for like 2 buck

dude gas is entirely priced on future stocks and profits. itll go back down soon. besides ts way more expensive in europe

on June 6th (yesterday) George Soros told the Senate Commerce Committee that a "speculative excess" and warned that the run-up in oil prices could drag the United States into a recession:

"There is a strong prima facie case against institutional investors

pursuing a commodity index-buying strategy."

"It is

intellectually dishonest, potentially destabilizing and distinctly

harmful in its economic consequences."

Kinda ironic considering thats exactly how he made his billions while fucking over a country (Bank of England anyone?).

damn your a good shopper. cheapest ive found is 78 cent 32oz. gatorade.

but I definitly hit up the Ramen Noodles...

you're way ahead of yourself...working for us, meaning the people who responded to this thread who are most likely 16-26 since they can drive and sometimes live on their own work for minimum wage man, and getting a job isn't fucking easy and finding a steady money making job on your own that is over minimum wage is especially hard without help or connections. i still live at home and thank god because now i realize that it's tough...all the people i work with need to save up for rent and pay for food and etc. consider yourself lucky if your parents pay for a lot of your shit, i know i do, my parents bust their fucking asses to keep me clothed and im thankful

thats why I fuck without rubbers.
saves me 10 dollars a week on average. good show.

But yeah, shits gonna get out of hand, especially since truckers are gonna start quitting here if they don't get raises. seeing as it costs them 50 cents to run a mile and the get paid 45 cents a mile, shit doesnt work and they will all walk out soon

stop fucking whining.

you're all capable of doing something about this such as riding bikes, turning your computers off at night, turning off lights and other appliances, changing lightbulbs.

I know the whole lightbulb thing is a bit of a joke but it actually makes a difference.

He'res an informative film on how to fight global warming.

YOu guys know nothing about nutrition. White bread is actually worse for you than eating nothing.

anything that requires gas to make its way to your hands is going to start going up up up up.
FOOD, MILK, BEER, WEED, SKI GEAR, CONDOMS, ELECTRICITY, HEAT, POSTAGE pretty much everything requires some sort of fuel.

Weed? does not fit into that category.

Condoms?nope, they will try to control poplation as best they can, which includes MORE condoms.

Food? widespread and not specific - does not pass the skipimp test of validity.

Food can be almost anything , as humans are omnivores.

Be specific with your arguements.

thats all im saying.

A better way of saying it is that anything requiring logistics from raw material stage to end user will have increased costs due to fuel. For companies to maintain their current (or desired) profitability, these costs need to be transferred to consumers via an upward pressure on prices.

I said 200 more than normal. So if you normally spend 500 in the summer, you'll now spend 700. Which seems like a lot but if every time you buy groceries you save a dollar, and every time you go out to eat you save a dollar, and every time you buy something else you save a dollar by the end of the summer you'll end up with the same amount of money you would have had if gas was cheaper. Its not hard to make lots of little sacrifices, like turning off lights to save on the electric bill, watching less tv, or even walking sometimes when you would drive. You'll save money with very little inconvenience to yourself.

Move to a major city and rely on solely on public transportation. The only time I ever really use my car is over the winter to ski.

this is typical ns, you aren't sharing your opinion your telling us your right, i know enough about nutrition to tell you that how you speak will get you eaten one day

I actually cook food to save money, as stated above it is the prepared and processed foods that cost the most from big name companies shipped from half way across the country.

ex. 1 frozen pizza is about $5, while you can buy a crust, can of sauce, and cheese for 2 pizzas for about the same price.

It works that way with almost all foods in the grocery store, the more work your doing the more money your saving. Make an investment and go buy a betty crocker cookbook for about 5 bucks.

what i don't have respect for is people are not willing to change their lifestyles to compensate for the changing economy. Honestly I enjoy underage binge drinking as much as the next person but when people are "getting broke" off of doing illegal things they really should rethink their lifestyles.

.. take your judgements and clean your colon with them.

I never said anything about being right.

Did you miss that I was quoting the threads creator?

ALl I was saying was be more specific

im thinkin that for a whole week, no one in the world should buy anything at all nor go to work. It would really make gov'ts freak and affect the GDP everywhere

If you want to buy produce (meats and stuff) buy the stuff thats almost past its sell by date, they usually mark down the price like crazy and its still perfectly good. Eat it the night you go shopping or if you know you cant freeze it, it can usally last a good amount of time if its completly frozen without going bad. The other day after work my parents gave me money so that i could stop by the grocery store and picked up 6 pounds of chicken (seasoned and everything, wasnt expecting that) for a 1.15 a pound. 4 people had a good dinner with some esperigus that my family grew out back, all for around 10 bucks. Not bad at all

i think socialism will be on the rise in America soon. everyone who isnt upper class is getting fucked in the ass at the moment
