yesterday i was at my local hill skiing with my gaper snowboard friend. He was coming down the side of a jump and some other snowboard kid just fell doing a straight air off a 10 footer. At first i thought the snowboard kid was hurt cuz he was screaming his ass off, but then he got up and went to where my snowboard friend was standing( about 20 ft from him now) The snowboard kid just went absolutely nuts on my friend and then pushed him to the ground. He claimed that my friend got in his way. Thats when i stepped in and told him to chill. He had his fists up saying he was going to knock me out, then he told me about 10 times to the fuck off the hill. I just went down and then once we got to the bottom he just threw his snowboard and started to cry.

the best part about all this is that my gaper snowboard friend was not in his way at all.

ive honestly never seen anyone freakout that bad. Has this happend to you ??or how the fuck do i get this kid to shut up.( rest of the day he trailed behind me really close off any rail or jump that i went on)

happend to me last weekend. skier dad went ape shit on me for "cutting him off" wasnt any closer that 30 ft at any point... I told him he had pants from MC sports and his point was irrelevant. Then me and my crew persisted to follow him for a few runs closely and creepily always just staring at him but behind our chrome and fire iridium lenses. His son kept saying WHY DONT YOU GUYS JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!! We said nothing ever.

Does anyone else get the feeling that stories like this on NS are ridiculously exaggerated?

"Yo, he got in my face and we were about to throw down, but luckily I'm a superior negotiator and talked him down, at which point he began to cry. Then he followed me around threatening me all day, but I was just like, chill."

haha, just this week i've had this funky french snowboarder verbally rape me in french, he said i snaked his run which is bullshit, i've grown up in over crowded indoor parks so i've learnt to call all my drops...anyways, he was raging for a good minute in french when i calmly informed the guy in english that i didn't speak french (i actually do speak french) so this dude starts the most incoherent english rant i've ever heard. A couple minutes later in his funky english rant i can't help but crack down in laughter at his ridiculous accent so i apologize in perfect french and ski off while this douche is standing there gaping like no other wondering what the fuck just happened ...

I was riding at my local hill and i took the Park lift up. i was behind a 5year old boy that was skiing in the forest when the lift stopt. He just dropt the lift and goes down, When he passes me i said "Don't do that againd, I know people that work here and i could easily get you of this mountain!" He looks at me for like a minute then he starts to cry. The i went hitting a rail.

I'm not sure I understood exactly what you were trying to say...but it sounded like you threatened to tattle on a five year old and get him kicked off the hill, while simultaneously trying to sound cool by claiming you know people that work at the hill. You sound like a real winner!

I was getting on a 6-chair with 4 buddies of mine, and a gaper. This is a decent Poma lift with the gates that line you up, and tell you when to go, so it's really simple to figure out.

So the gaper is in lane 5 the entire time up to the stop gate. As soon as the gate opens, he decides to move to the 6th seat position... right behind my friend. The lifties weren't prepared for such stupidity, and they barely had time to stop the lift.

Once the cluster became un-fucked, we go on our merry way up the hill. We asked him what he was trying to do and he replied with "What you YOU trying to do" like a 5-year old. This dude was like 40, and the experience was capped off when he called my friend out for rocking a $15 dollar price tag on his deck. We just chuckled, and ignored him for the rest of the ride.

Towards the top, we heard him mumble 'ohhh, it's been a while'. I didn't quite understand the comment until he ran into me and fell down as we got off of the lift.

Guy had to be wasted or something. We were a group of young park riders, and the best insult he could come up with was 'nice price tag'. It takes a whole lot more than that to fire up an argument with kids half his age.

can someone please post that video of the snowboarder who is about to legit fight that old guy who is yelling at him for riding out of hand near his family and the kid freaks and takes his shirt off and shit and is about to lose it and fight the guy. same thread as the tom wallisch gets his pass taken video or whatever. classic for sure.

you are right i should be the ambassador to the entire ns community to a total douche wad of a dad who thought it was cool to belittle be in front of his kid....i never swore or made any regrettable comment in any way. it was actually humorous bc we were just acting creepy and nothing more.

thanks a lot i just had to waste my 1000th post to defend myself....

so you acted like an immature little douche? if you did nothing wrong, tell the dad that, and then go on your merry way. or can you not ski well enough outside of the park to get away fro the gaper dad?

obviously you were intimidating the little kid(which is never cool) based upon his comment, but i guess thats not regrettable to you?

holy shit... that was ridiculous. "you guys are such tools!" *telemarks away, with sunglasses and goggles, trying to fight kids half his age...

i have no interest in continuing this argument bc i gave up arguing on the internet for my new years resolution. i was cursed at by a grown man after telling him he was mistaken. i in no way was intimidating maybe creepy but overtly so. it would have seemed funny to anyone watching. i am not a douche so pls dont imply such a slanderous accusation. oh and yes i am a very capable skier but i dont know why i would have had to escape the gaper dad it was a non violent encounter bc i kept it that way. have a wonderful evening(seriously no hate man)

what he did wasnt right, but every parent will over react when they percieve their kid is in danger. Instrucors with a group of 5 year olds will freak out as well...and quite frankly they should...just not quite to the extent that that guy did.

moral of the story: when you are around kids, slow down and give them as wide a berth as possible.

no jackass, you continued/prolonged the encounter when you and your friends decided to follow him, and look menacing.

we've all done stupid shit, and most of us have learned from it. hopefully you have as well.
