You like hot sauce, want some for free? Help our business out-

Na brand new bottle,

brand new design, brand new packaging ---well be posting pics in a few weeks.

Hot sauce business is

huge man over 1.3b worldwide, grew something like 8% last year and is projected

at 4.5-5% this year alone, even if you can corner .05% of the market your making 6.5million

in rev, even if youre total profit margin is a shitty 25% youre walking out with 1.65m a year in profits-its actually a great market to get into if you know what youre doing-lets hope we do.

yes the market is somewhat saturated but what we're doing is more multi-dimensional

than your average run of the mill hot sauce.

cant wait to get you guys youre samples.

I know it's a different botttle, is there any other opinions you'd want/can we qualify for da sauce. In case, I like the first the best.

#1, it'd be nice to have a cap on it like a salad dressing bottle would have. (small hole in it so it doesn't make a huge mess)

the issue with the bottles is it really depends what the name and branding of the product is going to be, if its going to be a classic southern taste and marketing campaign, go with the first one, if its western you should run with the cork topped bottle that looks like it belongs in a saloon

I know you're not using the bottles in the OP anymore, and because I posted in this a looooooong time ago, and I still say number 2 bottle with number 1 cap, I hope all goes well with the business again.

And as a said in the first post, I still fucking love hot sauce and can't wait for my free sample :D

i personally think the samples idea is awesome. it should get the word out quickly. depending on where you are located, maybe it would be beneficial to have a street stand for people to try it or just set up outside a store i.e Walmart.

use #1 and make the label on aged paper with bright ass colors so they stand out, also dont tint the glass or anything just let it be clear, also make a mild sauce for spice noobs like me.

And what shops would you sell it at? i would try and sell at newseasons because their workers always find those gems and recommend them, i would defenatley buy some, you should put adds up on ns and make a ns edition hotsauce

This. My exact thoughts. Bottle 2 kinda reminds me of a bottle of patron.... Idea maybe? LIke a tequila hot sauce? possibly?

Bottle #1 would be the best. HOwever I believe someone mentioned you need to have some type of cap to control how much sauce comes out. I love hotsauce, and would pour it all over everything....but it is a small bottle and it would be gone very quickly. So either a much bigger bottle, or a smaller opening so you dont pour all of it out.

Also the nice bottles obviously have a cost associated with it. I would love to buy the fancy glass one once, then be able to order refill bottles that are cheaper.

Good luck, I love hotsauce.

hahaha it just keeps goin.

so you have pics of the new bottles yet? im really interested to see how its comin, ive never seen this thread before

Lets see that product OP

what up guys, got supper over anxious making this thread at first and definitely underestimated how much time it takes to get stuff done, and how much it costs, basically everything has changed design wise for the people who commented before. Bottle has been changed to a 12 and 6 ounce glass 'flask' bottles, 3oz flasks for samples, don't want to go through all my boxes and pull out the bottles so here's a stock picture when the supplier. They look much nicer in person-prety high quality stuff

We've been working with a designer throwing ideas around and these are three designs we like and are working on to make a little cleaner (chance the CC since that looks a lot like channell to an CS) could save from a pdf so here's a picture take form my comp on my crappy phone, we're working with the first one now trying to finalize it since we like it the most. I know NS if full of opinions whats your take?

Hopefully we will be registered as a business this week and all the paper work. We're setting up in Delaware so its taken more time than doing it here in NY. We just took on an investor too so we've been busy doing paper work with that (our first batch run is going to cost like 10 grand out the door, so you can imagine how on point we want everything before we dump that kind of cash into it). You guys are gonna get your stuff soon enough.

PM me your name and address-could be a few months still but I'll send it out to all you guys free. Like i said eventually Ill be pm'ing everyone for their address and name by send it over if you want so i can compile a list of everyone I need to send to.

Ya I like the first label best I think. The third one is not bad either, just not a big fan of the 2nd one.

Keep it up man!

I'd say definitely between the 1st and 3rd labels, but I really like the idea of just "Chicho Sauce". Makes me think people will be like..."Chicho Sauce? Well what the hell kind of sauce is it? I should maybe get some and try it, it looks good!"

I like #2 the best as the "chicho" stands out which you want. And also try and make the bottle lid more exciting, whether it be a new lid or the logo on the top of it!

number 3 is my favorite. chicho sauce sounds way cooler than chicho hot sauce. number 2 is a close second though, very classy looking.

exactly what we though, our designer was just throwing ideas around, we might change it to an CS like the YSL symbol, except CS (for chicho sauce)...thanks guys-should be meeting with my people tonight will update and hopefully get you guys youre good soon.

Label #3.

And if you are worried about the CC thing maybe try putting CS together? Have the S hanging off the C below it. But make them overlapping like you have the CC.

Kinda like this

Or if you wanted to use the two CCs I tried to put em on top of each other and they kinda make an S which is cool cause the C's are for ChiCho and the S they make is for the sauce.

Sorry they are cut shitty, did it quickly.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who does a lot of cooking and frequently uses hot sauces, avoid corks, and I would even avoid that clasp top. A simple plastic screw top would be best for use in cooking as it presents the least hassle.

For tabletop presentation I would choose cork over the clasp.

If you want to grab my attention on a shelf, square bottle over a round bottle for sure. Too many hot sauces use a round bottle, and the different shape will help to catch the eye.
