when your at perfect north cruisng the park, you get hungry only by the smell of food 400 vertical feet down at the bottom and not by your stomach
 
when you have to go to a local parking lot to get snow from a snowbank for enough snow to set up a rail mid january
 
when during christmas break you look at your hill from the bottom and see the front run with a foot of man made snow and you then look to your left and see the 18th green of the golf course your hill is in the summer
 
When you've seen it go from perfectly sunny, to thunderstorming, to snowing, to hailing, to perfectly sunny again....all within 3 hours.

when at 4am the only thought in your tiny, tiny brain is "Wawa Meatball Sub".
 
when the "courderoy" is shreded down to ice within 10 minutes of the run being opened after being groomed.
 
when any day of skiing will for the most part make you happy

and when 3 chistmas breaks in a row your mountain (hill) closes for 5 days, in a row
 
urbans are less sketchy than the rails at your mountain

You get to smell the fresh scent of original belgian sugar waffles with carmalized pearl sugar AKA waffle haus
 
when u ski a mountian with 175ft vertical, 45-1 boarder to skier ratio, hardpack is considered soft, and boarder ruts are up to ur knees
 
YES. required stop after the gondola at stowe.

Mine would be... When backcountry skiing is only a dream and helicopters aren't used for skiing.

when you wear through multiple pairs of gloves a season from the rope tows

when 4 inches a pow day, and anything more is a blessing from god

^when your hill isn't steep enough to truly enjoy said pow.
 
when you move snow into your yard from everyones yard around you just to have enough snow to last the next couple days..if your lucky
 
- you say "wicked" "bubbler" "jimmies" or "grinder" (northeast)

- youve skiied in weather colder than -10 degrees fahrenheit... before windchill

- if you get snow before X-Mas, you got lucky

- if it doesnt faze you when the base is less than a foot at your mountain (or more likely, hill)
