calskierX haven't you seen warren miller's fifty with the schrab bros? there aren't any hills here, most of us have tractors and our friends pull us to hit jumps made of hay bails.

i found the only freeskiier in school. doesnt have skis until christmas. i told him about NS. hey, finally got someone to urban with here.

and no the only hills here are like dirt piles used for building

WE have/had a really tight scene down here in L-burg Indiana. its pretty cool... and its on a hill.

You know what !! Fuck the midwest i am flying all of you out here to ski with Me , we will take a tahoe tour, alpine , squaw , northstar , heavenly, mt rose and homewoood then we will ski boreal at night. Who's down???

calskierX, can you slide RAILINGS? if so, can i call you God? i've only heard of such incredible feats from a friend of a friend who once knew someone who had a cousin that went skiing on a hill one time a couple years ago. i recently heard skiers at the 2002 us open slid railings in their slopestyle run, that is so amazing that they are using their skis to slide on such things other than snow. can you teach me?

can you do that thing when you go up off a jump and like cross your skis and come back down, iron cross thats what they call it out west. yeah its sick. do you guys rollerblade?

For those that got the newest Freeskier, the one after the Gear Guide..... well, They have an article about cool roadtrips for different regions. Snow Trails was a stop on the Midwest roadtrip.
 
i kind of like living in the midwest, except for skiing. although it's nice since most of the people here that are serious about skiing and boarding are pretty laid back, but that's how the midwest is with most things.
 
the midwest sucks. the only thing thats cool here are my friends. the skiing is mediocre at best, same goes for everything else i am interested it: mountain biking, flyfishing, etc... it works cause i can still do all of those things, but there are sooo many better places to be.
