You ever hype someone up to do something you know damn well they can’t do?

Thought I killed this kid today and now I almost feel bad. “Ya dude you got the back flip all day, literally nothing can go wrong” a lot of things went wrong. Heal up bud

Oh hell yeah, but only when condition are perfect and that you cant get hurt from crashing.

If that person is feeling confident and Im not too sure about, ill cheer them on. Better than busting a stoke.

Convinced my half-cut friend she was good to hit a euro x games booter. She caught a heel edge and ended up doing a massive toilet air, landing on her ass breaking her pelvis.

I don't encourage people to do stuff unless I think they have a good chance of actually landing or if the have really good air awareness.

It makes me cringe when I see people encouraging kids to try stuff that is clearly above their ability level.

I get that's how you get better, but its also how you get hurt.

Definitely don't do this. I have many times encouraged people to try dangerous tricks, but never has it been anything I'm not confident they can do.

One time when I was younger and not the greatest skier im riding w some homies and wanted to hit the biggest jump at my local. Don’t know how big is actually is but everyone called it the “ 50’ ”. It wasnt, but at my small little hill ppl called shit whatever they wanted. It was maybe a 35-40. Anyways im debating hitting this big ass jump and all my homies gas me up. Im like alright fuck it. I send the biggest jump i’ve ever hit in my life to flat, and in classic 14 y/o Blandz style start fucking scream crying because I felt like tanner halls ankles. Get carried down the mountain on stretcher and it turns out im a pussy cuz I didn’t get injured at all.

It was honestly tight as fuck

I’m usually the one to get hyped up from someone else. I always eat shit the first time but then stomp it the second. It’s always a good challenge breaking through that fear you garnered eating shit the last time. I only ever wanna go big on pow days when I or if I get hyped up. I’m in this thing for the long haul. Would suck to fuck up my legs being young. Everything comes back to bite your ass. I do need more consistent pressuring though. Quiet days are lame in terms of progression.

I would never push someone to try something I know they cant do but if a buddy is just standing on top of a cliff or jump for more than 2 min Ill yell, "Fuck it just huck it!" or something like that. Anything past 60 seconds and you are just sketching yourself out and increasing your chances of crashing.

We convinced our buddy he could tranny find the side of the big jump at our home hill. He ended up breaking his wrist from the tomahawk which is far better than hitting the lift pole ? nothing like being stupid 16 year olds and thinking every idea is a good one.

Good thing you didn’t get it because the clip would have sucked

Fuck ya.

From age 8 daring your buddies to ride their bike no hands down the hill

Daring your brother to start higher on the hill to hit the jump

And so forth

When i was in sixth grade my ski coach hyped me up to send a backy. actually made it around first time but didn't land it, sent it again and ended up landing on my head.

Often end up coaching friends and kids i meet at the mountain. Just gotta build their confidense. They eill eat shit but thats how they progress. Have pushed some people into some sketchy business for sure. Made my friend jump a 4 meter cliff (his first cliff ever i believe) ended up tomahawking and eating total shit. Had a bloody nose and a whiplash. Still stoked i made him do it. And he was stoked about it. Have conquered his fear, which is the next step after a heavy send and bail

Elaborate. Is he paralyzed or neck/back broken?

Yesterday bribed/ hyped my 7year old brother to try a 360 told him I'd buy him a redbull if he made it he went of the table top made a 180 he tried again did a 180 landed it then leaned back and spun the rest on the ground. Pretty steezey but made him try again this time the 180 was front seat? Anyway his straight skiis dug in and smacked his head on ground he's fine
