you should teach her, i didnt know anything about skiing either... i didnt even know what skiing switch meant... i didnt think id ever go skiing untill my boyfriend took me and Im still not very good but atleast i know what hes talking about
 
Thats pretty much what corey did with me but it was my first time ever so i fell a few times... more than a few but whatever, I hope you have fun and even if shes not good, tell her she is because it means a lot to her to impress you doing something you love...
 
You know just to even the ability levels shes not that good

So then we could actaully kinda keep up with eachother

naw man i gotcha, just messin with ya. its a really good opportunity to practice not only skiing switch, but looking over your opposite shoulder. learning is such a bitch cause its so different.
 
Just teach her man. My girlfriend wouldnt have had a clue what a railjam was either. At least she's asking about it. The great thing about gf's is the good ones take an interest in your passions. My girl didn't have the opprutunity to ski alot and the only flips she had ever heard of were back flips and somersaults. Now we ski together a bunch, she's gotten alot better, and she could name almost every trick in turbo when we watched it. Also respect her. I doubt your gf wants to find a thread about the uneducated things she accidentally said or find posts saying she's not good at skiing. Take the opprtunity to teach her instead of posting it to strangers on the internet. You'll be stoked you did. Good luck man
 
Thats because she thinks you love skiing more than her... which could be possible i dont really know, but she probably thinks you spend more time skiing than with her... she will get over it... atleast i did, especially after my bf took me skiing i didnt have a problem with it and its something that we can do together now... except he tore his acl so thats not gunna happen this season.
 
There are only 2 types of girlfriends a skier can have...

Option 1.) She rips and can hang with you on the hill.

Option 2.) She has no interest in skiing AND doesnt mind you going to the hill for the day while she shops, hangs out with her friends or whatever.

Disaster happens when you try and teach her and so while your buddies are tearing up the mountain you are stuck with her on the bunny hill trying to teach her or always waiting for her.
 
my girlfriend and her friends all want to day trip and sit in the park and watch me.. i dont think they understand that sitting ariund would get boring and cold
 
"I thought you were going to spend the day with me?" -non skiing girlfriend to me on a powder day. I got a good laugh out of it.
 
I don't like having a gf during the winter cause it just goes in the way of my skiing.Its ever that she's sad cause I ski to much or she comes and skis with me so I can't really go in the park and practice.
