I'm from toronto and have been to the campus quite a few times, and what he says about the campus is quite right from my impression of it. South of the campus is a pretty gritty neighbourhood, and north is a fairly industrial
It's not really in Toronto, it's at the very north end which means if you want to live close to the down town core of toronto it's around an hour or an hour and a half public transit ride depending on where abouts you are living.
Of the three people that I know who went there, two of them despised it mainly due to the travel time they had to deal with each day, the third was indifferent to it never really enjoyed there experience but didn't hate it either.
I know that they do have some really good programs at the school and if you do attend live on campus and if you don't want to live on campust, a car would be clutch, plus a car would allow you to get in as much skiing as possible with Mount St. Louis about aprx fifty minutes north of campus and blue mountain is about an hour and a half.
