Yo VT kids: Jay Peak or Stowe?

not to be rude, but that isnt true at all. you ride a lift about halfway up the mountain which takes about 8 minutes, which is about as long as you will wait in line at smuggs. then you ski down about 500 vertical feet all totaled, which is fun skiing and not a drag at all. then they have 3 good hits, and if you hit all three you can still hit the c box as well. I am not trying to be argumentative here, but I just dont see where you are coming from

the terrain at smuggs is not comparable to anywhere else that i have been to. its got heart. its got the nastyiest terrain anywhere. the face chutes are a joke compared to the gnarly chutes that smuggs hides. off of certain trails.

i can not sit here and look at people hating on smuggs because oh the lifts are slow or they dont have terrain. i grew up at smuggs they had a bus that took kids up whos parents wouldnt. it ran every day. i know the place llike my house... all alta and the bird have on smuggs is double the snow...... u trustfunders go ski at stowe. where they open their arms to you/ your parents opening their pockets, and they have quicker lifts to take your impatient ass up the mountain.

yeah, there are some nice woods at smuggs, for sure. That little chute behind smugglers alley is pretty epic. Plus, the back bowls. I havent been meaning to take anything away from smuggs, but I just think Jay is way better. They get 100 more inches of snow

Hikeing mountmaisfiled is pretty sweat but then agian you have to hike it and you have to wait till after a big dump or around febuary befoer there is enough snow cover to hide all the rocks. All the bc stuff at Jay is off a lift somewere so u dont have to hike anywere, though on the backside you might want to call a budy to pic u up on the road!

 
nope I havent skied stowe in about 4 years. Its just so expensive that its not worth it for me to go. I wouldnt go to smuggs either except I have friends there.

wife beater shoot, who cares , smuggs has the scar and survey lines. both respectively the most dangerous lift accessable runs in the east. ive been to whiteface. the slides are ok. but its called iceface for a reason. jay might get 75 inches more snow a year than smuggs, but its constantly 15 -20 degrees colder PLUS the mean windchill. im glad jay put in that new quad in the coldest area of the world.....except for jaypeak. hey... i have an idea lets put in a quad up the north side of the mountain. the only time that lift is a good idea is in april.

Welll unlike pussys at smuggs we continue to ski even when it is cold out, you see skiing is a winter sport and you dress acordingly.

 
ive skied the shit out of spruce.... back in the day you could ski smuggs and spruce with a smuggs pass. ive been in the woods. ive been from madonna at smuggs down to spruce base at stowe. etc etc. no ive never been on the beater, but i know for a fact that it doesnt get gnarlyier than the scar and survey because it cant.

yo sugarbush!! u havn't skiied vermont till u ski the back side under the transfer chair between the two mountains... its is sooo sick in all thoes trees and pow.... bitchin fun
