all i have to say to this is, how bad would you fuckers feel if he died in a car accident before telling anybody that he was selling his camera and EastCoast sent him the money and he passed away suddenly?

so first off, if he is dead, or something like that, then give the kid whos pissed a break, since he doesnt know where the fuck his camera is, then how would he know hes dead. and if he is dead, 300 bucks doesnt tarnish his person, so RIP man. i dont know if this is a joke so im covering all bases.

second, paypal is supposed to be safe, ns is supposed to be safe. weve seen with ohio skier and anon guy, and now yeti, that ns isnt safe. and phil, i see ur point, but i dont know why he would have the guys address if hes doing paypal, and making an easy transaction. mistake, yes, but his fault for losing 300 bucks and putting no blame on yeti, abolsultyl not.

and third, there is no third, but lesson learend ns. use the fuckin gear swap. its easy and safe.

When its a mod of the site, I think the site has some responsibility here. Do any mods or admins at least have any contact info for their mods outside of NS? This is kinda being to tarnish the reputation and indisputability of other mods and of the site. People definently can and have screwed other people over on sales in the SE, but a mod doing it is unacceptable, and its time NS at least made it known they've been doing something about it.

The mods have said in other threads regarding both this case and others liek it, "Doing business on NS is at YOUR own risk, NS has nothing to do with it." Okain and simple, why would they want to get wrapped up in something when the policy was in place b4 this.

avoid getting fucked over by dealing face to face or sell in your regional forums. OR, ask your seller to list the item on ebay with a "buy it now" option, so that when you use paypal you will have some security. using paypal outside of ebay does not come with the same securities.

When it's just some random ripping people off, that is understandble that the site isn't responsible.

But a mod pulling the wool over people's eyes is completely unacceptable.

well if thats really the way it went down, then that really blows, but it sounds like it has a high possibility that it could be a misunderstanding, or something went wrong, like mailman stealing the 300 or the camera or it getting lost on the way or something
 
i sent him 90 for some goggles that never showed, that was at least 2-3 months ago as well if he were in front of me id prolly kill him, but seeing as he lives in western canada i dont think thats really an option
