NEW SNOW

Last 24 hrs: 8"

Last 48 hrs: 16"

Last 7 days: 35"

Season Total: 72"

... And it's still November! Me and my besty Ashley Battersby will be taking some pow footage today!

i'm really jealous of that. in my part of michigan i have seen some flurries one day for about an hour :(

Faceshots today. Damn it was so wild. I definitely blew my load all over Rustler. The snow was sooo good too! Not very windblown seemingly bottomless except for a couple rocks.

Ahhh This is killing me!!!! I need my new skis!!!

i dont want to miss out on this shit because i only have my gs skis as shitty tele setup

Scott and Rowen, you guys are awesome, i know you guys are doing everything you can to catch up and it will be worth it in the end, but for now, you suck

why do you even have to say that? hah It doesn't matter what year it is in utah. That's why no one usually posts about utah snow because everyone already knows it's gonna happen, a lot.

careful up there, avy danger is starting to get whack

we've got the traditional crappy facety base layer in the snowpack already, and all of this new snow on top

this is happening now, and its dumping. and it keeps dumping. i mean....ITS DUMPING SUGARY POW!

I submarined today. not a face shot that made me giggle, like i went under the snow and popped out, thinking i was drowning cause i couldnt even breathe. dropped this line with ski patrol closing the horseshoe bowl about thirty minutes ago and they said,

TBAR opens tomorrow at 1030.Lappin pow runs, on what kind of day is tomorrow?

I'm pretty jealous, I'm sitting in a rain storm in Vancouver while the sweet little skiff of snow that was sitting in the north shore mountains is getting washed away. But on the bright side, at least Whistler is getting shat on at the moment!

i-70 is currently closed from copper to vail, tunnel to georgetown, floyd hill to silverthorne

I totally agree. Watch yourself, and for gods sake, wear (and know how to use) a beacon.
Although, the snowpack is WAY more stable than last year...which was pretty much ruined by this time. Not that means its safe y any means. Common sense goes a long way.

i hate to say it.. but as it stands right now. the cascades are pretty bare.. its snowed, melted,,, snowed agian.. then melted... now its snowing with a good cold forcast for the week...

still its not even winter! techenicaly.

pray for snow.. sacirfice the virgin!

i don't know about that, i bet we'll see a lot of avalanche activity in the next few days

those first storms left us with a bad facet layer in some places, a bad melt freeze crust in others, and some surface hoar too
