Yelp or TripAdvisor?

I've been on a jaunt through British Columbia the past week or so, and I've experienced plenty of good places and plenty of fucking awful places, and I need to leave the bad ones some reviews. Which website has more weight, Yelp or TripAdvisor?

I look a TripAdvisor for things like hotels and restaurants when I'm traveling or looking to traveling somewhere. I don't really like yelp because it's literally just a bunch of people who think they are Gordon Ramsay and so critical about the most minute details. But that could just be me.

i dont' really write reviews, but i would say i tend to read reviews about lodging, activities and destinations more on tripadvisor, where yelp i use more for restaurants.

Thanks errbody. TripAdvisor it is.

Also, NEVER EVER stay at Powder Springs in Revelstoke. Bunch of twats.

TripAdvisor for hotels/lodging, I think. Yelp is better for restaurants and stuff. Try and shoot emails to their guest services if you guys had a bad time, though. Getting your ass personally ripped by the guest themselves via word of mouth or email is the best way to let them know, though. Obviously you aren't going to stay there again but it gives the hotel an idea of where they fucked up and how they can avoid that again.
