Yearbook was a let down.

yeah seriously. do you guys fucking expect to go see an MSP film and get level 1 style footage? let me break it down for you morons in a simple and comprehensive guide I like to call, 'A Fucking Retard's Guide To Ski Movies'. Here goes:

MatchStickProductions:

40% Big Mountain

40% BC Booters

20% Park

-artistic approach by older guys, still trying to capture the essence of the 'all mountain jedi', while attempting to appeal to the younger crowd. usually a medley of everything that is part of the ski scene.

PoorBoyz Productions

50% Park

40% BC Booters

10% Big Mountain

-Freestyle crew. More likely to see the classic park and pipe skiers progressing the classic park and pipe scene.

Level 1 Productions

60% Park/Urban

40% BC Booters

-Jib flicks. Not much big mountain stuff. Youth core.

Given that I have only seen one of this years new movies, it is my responsibility to recommend movies based on general knowledge.

-are younger than 17

-are gangsta

-lap the park all day long

-live on the east coast

...id have to recommend anything by PBP or L1P

-are old

-ski powder

-appreciate artistic aspects

...id have to recommend TGR or MSP

Im gangsta and i enjoy msp quite a bit. Focused had some of my favourite segments and i didnt mind the dialouge in the begining (not during) cus it made it a little diffrent and a chance to get the previouse song out of your head. But im pretty un enthusiastic about this movie. that soundtrack overlap isn't helping either.

And by henricks segment, is it the one Jp starts with?

Oh yeah year book kicked ass, I think you mean YEARBOOK one work. I thought it was a great movie I just didn't think it lived up to my expectations. It is growing on me though the more I watch it.

^next time dont post a review until youve 're viewed' it a alot. Ski movie always take a few watchings to really appreciate/enjoy them. Something as beautiful as skiing cant be rushed into the brain, rather slowly absorbed like a tea bag.
