Matchstick's Yearbook is a sweet ass movie... if its coming to your town, you better go. I cannot believe how crazy Shane is... 400 foot cliffs and all. But, epecially on the one where he throws a front flip about 40 feet before the edge. Just about everyone had sick clips, but I was hoping Hall and Petit would have longer sequences. SO GO SEE IT!! and by the way.. if a preseason ski film like this isn't enough to get you psyched... it SNOWED in our Colorado mountains last night... FUCK I can't wait. I love living in COlorado.

yeah man i followed the shows in co last weekend. it is fucking sick. and i can't wait to be skiing in beautiful colorado this winter

the camera angles were unbelieveable!!!! the gondola jib was tight but definetely overplayed

OMG YEAH... those slo-mo helo shots were FUCKING incredible... worth the money right there!! I'd recomend bringing some tissue... cause these shots will make you either cry or want to bust a fat load.. either way, you'll be prepared. HAHA!

Yeah and Shane was there, and I got an autographed poster, I think there were a few others, but I dunno... nor did I really care.

the Boulder show was sick- SOO many people showed up, everyone was hollerin and hootin the entire time. the intro is fuckin brilliant, and as far as best segments go, Abma's was BY far the best. the Whistler heli-cam shots were mind blowing, suchhh sick cinematography. plus, my friend got her boobs signed by Shane McConkey, which was cool too. go see it!

I saw Yearbook last night (9-24-04). It was a really great movie, and I was indeed impressed after having seen Focused last year and being somewhat disappointed. The slo-mo shots were so badass, it put a way new perspective on analyzing a trick mid-air. Hall's double grab cork spin was amazing!! Abma was smooth too. As were all of the other riders. The theme of the movie is awesome with the high school, it was original.

I did get bored of the cliff jumping. Did anyone else notice Douglas had about three 'steeze 3' shots, anyone could do that, it was just funny how he was trying to be cool, hhaha. nah, he's good but,it was just funny.

Soundtrack was a little weak, CR had the best song, hip hop instrumental, not used much in ski movies.

All around it was a fresh movie, worth the money to see.

I want to hear your all's opinion on the movie!!

i thought douglas was scratched from focused and was saving all his footy for year book and it was supposed to be a mind blowing seg. i take it it wasnt?

Yeah,that is the best movie ive ever seen. Rainvilles sec was so sick. I really liked JT and Shanes shared sec tho, with all the ski base jumping.

T Halls part blew everyone away... i mean when u think of whos good, tanner doesnt even come to mind u already no he owns the movie. He had the sickest grab ive ever seen and hes the chillest skier ever....tanner owns all $$$

Yes! Go see it! It's quite possibly the sickest, most awesome movie i've ever seen in my life. The camera work is incredible. Hey make sure you get there early though cuz the one i went to in bozeman was sold out like a 1/2 hour before the show started. McKonkey is the MAN!!

T-Hall does NOT wipe Pollard away. Tanner's seg was good, but he skied small lines and his style while skiing was piss poor. Pollard skies big lines with multiple cliff bands, and he oozes style. that switch 10 that pollard did was so sick. Raineville's seg was good, so was CRs. Abma's blew minds, I didn't know he could rip big mtn. like he did.....oh my gosh, it was so sick.

Saw it last night here in CB. Abma's segment is one of the best for sure. Pollard shows out as well. Overall I thought the film was good, but the skiing wasn't as good as Focused.

somebody tell matchstick thay base jumping isnt skiing and to stope giveing mcunky 10min worth of slomo parchuting. i dont know if they had a real time shot in the whole film. amba was one of the only highlights in an otherwise disaponting film. but its still worth it just to see sarrah burk in a nurse costume

As I said elsewhere, Pollard's seg was too short, but had some awesome shots... I was most impressed by Rainville, though I agree with the general consensus about Abma's seg. I wasn't disappointed by any means, I thought it was worthwhile.

^yeah it was.....dude just BOUNCED. thought it was pretty good. but after everyone tells MSP that shane doesn't need 10 minutes of ski base jumping footage, they should tell MSP that MONOLOGUES MAKE SKI MOVIES BORING. every time i watch one of their movies, i'm like ''yeah, cool, nice, sweet, dope, coo-OH GOD FUCKING DAMMIT NOT ANOTHER FUCKING MONOLOGUE!!!'' i can deal with the slo-mo (the hip shots were actually quite nice), and i'm fine with the BC footage, but if nobody said a word for an entire MSP flick it would just be 100 times better.

and tanner's seg was sick, but after watching it there's no way i can convince myself that the dude isn't completely ghetto fabulous. juvenile and the hot boys.....seriously? and since when does ollying a skateboard onto a sidewalk make you a thug?

HIGHS: abma, backstrom, pollard, rainville, t-hall's skiing, hugo and douglas's crashes

LOWS: monologues, t-hall's song and overall ghettoness, CR (i might have to watch it again, but it doesn't really look like cr's done anything new in the BC since SM3), the gondola thing (looks cool in the pictures, but the actual feature is tiny when you see it on film).

^Hall is a sick skater, I dont know why they just showed him ollieing, he can do mad shit. He's just as steeze on board, as on skis. I highly doubt that he picked that song for seggy, he doesn't listen to that shit, i'm sure they can't just use any song they want. Who gives a shit how he dresses?? I thought it was cool how he was wearing his oakley jersey and makin on the teacher, that was badass, he's a good actor, hah.

The double grab was so incredibly cool.
