Yes, Iran is up to something. It's called revenge. You know like how we put their people through 20 years of torture and oppression while the world turned its head on our actions.

Iran wants to justify this the same way the whole US population wanted to justify Sept. 11 with the Kill em' back method. That proved to work out just super didn't it.

They would love for us to attack them and we are just stupid enough to do it. They will never attack us with a nuke, because that disregards their whole point. They want the world to see how truly evil we are. Now I am by no means saying this country is evil, but we have done some corrupt things.

I am willing to bet you don't know anything about Iranian culture. I'm willing to bet you didn't know Iran is actually a fun place to ski. The American media gives people like you a spoon and you just sit there and take the image that is given to you.

You also have no idea what a socialist is if you think Obama is one. Again actually listen to what he says and what his plans are instead of having the media form an opinion for you.

You think the rich get taxed in this country? Wow, the middle class is where all the tax money comes from. Take a look at tax brackets. The super rich pay practically nothing compared to what upper middle class people pay. Anywho, of course they don't tax the rich, because the majority of the rich are republicans and the republicans need campaign $ from these people. And I'd like to add Iran is being mischevious and if Britain goes to war with them how would we look if we didn't back them up? Like they did us during 9|11? All I can say is I hope to god those Iranian bastards don't kill those british sailors or we could very possibly be looking at going to war with them and spending more $ and expending more lives of our troops.

You shouldn't trust ANY news station to tell you the facts without any bias and you shouldn't think you know 'the truth' because you watch the news. It's simply more amusing to me to watch Fox because of the hilarity that ensues by sitting down and noticing their blatant bias and overpowering stupidity mixed in with actual news. CNN, MSNBC, etc... guess what; they are better in the subtlety department, but they are still cable news.

1. Iraq was never proved to be linked in any way to the events of 9-11. So You're second point makes no sense.

2. Right, because knowing one person who occasionally travels to Iran for business gives you a good understanding of the culture and history of Iran.

Well, Bush will veto it without a doubt, and even though I rather despise Bush, he should. Leaving Iraq next year (or any time soon) could, and probably would, be the worst thing to do at this point.
 
Ok, what you have failed to notice is that its been 4 years already and nothing happend...except murders of civilians. The first world war was shorter and improved the world...in most part. What did the iraq war do? It seperated the eastern culture with the western and caused more hate. Also, it destroyed a country economicaly, politicaly and socialy.

You prove a good point with our living conditions.He dont hate the soldiers...even if they are immature automotones working on orders, it the war we protest. Bush believes that everybody should conform to american policy. He hasent realised that iraqui living conditions are getting worse than under Saddam. He forgot that culture does not change, Muslims in the middle east have always lived under a monarchy. Introducing a new political system does not intrest them, nor would they involve themselves. So, they will resist the change. Image if Saddam had the upper hand and try to change US policy, claiming it is better. Would you hand over your beliefs just like that? I dont think so either.

1) You have no grasp at all of what has happened in the last 30 years in the middle east, as do most Americans. Get informed, please. They have plenty of reason to hate us, and if you want to dispute what I'm telling you, go research it.

2) They aren't our enemy. Its people like you that are the first to fucking assume that anyone who disagrees with out policies are evil as hell. Look at the god damn facts - they haven't preemptively attacked anyone, or incited any violent acts. Oh gee, have we? (hint, we invaded a country under false assumptions...)

3) Anything is not possible. The idea that a foreign power could try to install a dirty bomb in our country and set it off is possible, however, it is extremely unlikely. Wars and politics are controlled by things greater than your predispositions. The country of Iran, however much you would like them to be, are not compatriots with the Taliban and Al-qaeda. It would make no fucking sense for them to suddenly attack a superpower, and I could not imagine them ever doing so, no matter what crazy ass fuck was running the country.

4) You're right about the first part, as you evidently dont know shit, let alone "enough". Regardless of what your 'best friends dad' is doing (which somehow lends you credence to your argument, which I fail to grasp the connection....) . I dont care how much he skis over there, that does give him any idea of the politics or culture over there, and gives you even less credibility when it comes to that subject.

5) Fuck your media. What do you get your information from? Bill O'Riley? Michael Savage? Try BBC once and a while, they are the largest and longest running undisputed neutral news agency. And as for your obvious choice in presidential candidates, heres what I have to say - McCain is a fucking hawk and shifts sides more than Kerry, and Giuliani is a downright paraplegic when it comes to taking a stand on an issue. Barack is the fresh line of thinking our executive branch needs.

We supported a the sha (sp?) who never gave a fuck about human rights, and so we turned a deaf ear to all complaints about the abuses going on inside iran, and guess what to get the sha back in power we overthrough a democraticly ellected government. Then after the sha was overthrown an the whole iranian hostage crises, we supported Suddam with weapons and money (including biological and chemical weapons) so he could fight the iranians. and in that war he used the US' provided chemical weapons on the Iranian army, with mcuh more horricif effects then any of the gas weapons from WWI. So yes the iranian people have plenty to hate us for. (in addition to kicking the Arab people out of Isreal and continued support of Isreal)

The iranian government is not stupid enough to openly nuke the united states. why? becuase then they could compleatly wipe out millions of people in a couple of city's at most and then the United States would proceed to blow Iran off of the map and the rest of the world would sit and watch and at the end would say oh wasent that sad. Oh and when I say blow Iran off of the map, I mean that there would not be a single person left alive in Iran nor a single building still standing. and it would be a nuclier waist land for years.

Iran officially has no relation with such an organization, and would be fucking insane to do so. While I'm sure they are supporting insurgency in the middle east, I highly doubt they would ever so boldly finance and support an organization so demonized by the United States.

And yes, I realize that the Arab world heavily dislikes the state of Israel. And guess what. As an American, I highly dislike Israel as well. Funding Israel has done fucking nothing for the US, and our continued involvement in that quagmire of religious strife has only deepened resentments towards our country in the area. However, you must realize that very few individuals, let alone entire cultures are completely and unanimously against Israel and our foreign policy. More so, many of these cultures do have blatantly, and in my opinion, more than reasonable reasons to hate Western Culture and all that we have 'bestowed' upon their nations. Who the fuck are we to say that they are assholes in supporting such a cause?

1. Yep, you're pretty ignorant to the fact that when we installed the Shah he hanged and tortured thousands more people than Saddam. He created a monarchy in Iran. That's why there was a revolution in 1979 (which you probably have never heard about). We were responsible for directly installing the leader of this. There was no vote, just installation.

2. No what we should have done is not wage war on the wrong person. The Taliban had NOTHING to do with 9/11. None of their members had anything to do with Al-Qaeda. They were simply in the same country.

3. They won't nuke us. It goes against everything they are fighting for.
