YEAH RYAN CAPES JUMPS 300+ FEET!

About damned time! He's been talking about it for a while now and finally he jumps over the 300ft. mark going 310ft. Next step is to bring it to a football field. Congrats Ryan!
 
well actually a football feild is 100 yards and i believe the end zones are 10 yards, so 120 yards. and if he's doing it he might as well go feild goal post to feild goal post. preferrably with a tail tap on the post near landing.
 
yay dirtbikes.glad you guys like to see this stuff, but you should really look into the racing part of dirtbikes, freestyle and big jumps and all that is just the media affiliated part, if you want to see the real guys that ride go to a gncc or a supercross or any big race. they work so hard to do what they do and deserve way more credit than they get. but props on the jump, that takes some balls.
 
On a bike you can keep the speed steady on the jump or even rev for more I think.. With skis the kicker would have to be very,very low with practically no kick to go speeds like that and not die clearing the gap.

Actually guys, if you've ever taken an intro to Physics class, you'd know that the skier would need the exact same speed (neglecting any difference in air resistance between the bike and a skier) and would come off at the exact same angle.
 
Exact speed coming off the lip... Don't forget that the bike keeps accellerating as it goes up the jump, a skier does not.

Also take into account that the skier, being lighter, is affected a lot more by wind resistance that the dirtbike.
 
o yea i am gonna break the record for jumpin pit bikes.. i am gettin close, a solid 4 feet. (sarcasm) (for all those who are unable to pick up on it)
 
no skier could even come close to that. Chads gap is only 120ft. Ud have to tack on another 180ft to that. clearly impossible.
 
Thats a nice ass landing he's got. Anybody ever see the mx movie Seth the Hard Way or Seth 2? The dude likes to go huge too.
 
but the gap could easily be downhill, so you could go for 300ft in length if you have enough drop below you. i don't think a gap thats 310ft where you land at the same height as you took off from is feasible in skiing.
 
My Friend Robbie Madission Will break this record in the next year i Promise you that. For the crusty demons of dirt world record night in Brisbane Australia Robbie got he world record on a 125 and did a 258 foot superman seat grab, 310 feet will be easy for him, he has a 210 foot kicker in his backyard and he hits it every day and does every trick in the fmx book on it, Watch out ryan Capes aussies gonna kick yo ass and take your record.
 
Cannot wait to see that. But just to let you know Capes has done a 200ft. superman seat grab as well. See the movie Appetite 4 Destruction for the video if it. Why is it that I've never heard of this fella?
