Yea, you think rollerblading is gay? Dispet says it's no homo.

hahaha how's that one dood gunna be hard when his name is clavin...no offence to anyone who's name is calvin i'm sure ur hott shit

I'm a rollerblader, rollerblading is the shit. I switched to it after i credit carded myself a year ago while skateboarding and then i pissed blood. And your retarded for just finding out Dipset skates.

hows that. i know a lot about peeing blood...unless u got a full swip and got ur testies also

i love how those are like the badest nigs in rollerblading like they make rollerblading seem so thug but i think its cool that dipset is getting into other parts of the industry rollerblading isn't even that bad some of those guys are dope

in any event Id like to them fruit boot haters go spit their hate on those boys. I see them at the skate park an im scerred

my boi melle knight and calvin sayles are holdin it down for us rollerbladers out there... rollerblading is starting to get the credit it deserves.. no one ever gives rollerblading enough credit and im glad dipset is getting the word out... word to my brothas at B Unique and Co. for keepin it real..

hahah its funny how you talk shit.....do u know calvin or anything about him or where hes from? prolly not ur just spoutin off at the mouth....i could bet my life that hes a harder realer dood than you man so stop hatin

and i always thought rollerblading was so gay, but now its cool! I'm gonna go buy rollerbladezzzz!!!! k no im not, but some of the stuff they were doing actually looked steezy. If fruitbooters werent such fags at the skateparks i used to skateboard at i might think it was cool.

ur just a fag with no understanding of what rollerblading is... if you put on a pair of skates and could do half of what they did as steezey as what they did you might have some room to talk... but i GUARENTEE you couldnt... SO STOP HATIN!

do you guys agree with this? I think the only reason people have always ripped on rollerblading is because it was easier than skating. but now I think fruit booters are doing some sick shit, so who cares there both dope. But in the beginning its like snowboarding to skiing.... way easier to learn

for anyone hating on rollerblading:

rollerblading is just as gay as skiing.

i can say that, since i have been involved with both for years (7+ skiing, 10+ rolling). homosexual activities abound. but really, theyre both really hard to make look astheticly (sp) pleasing, both involve a lot of flailing (especially for beginners), and both are constantly hated on by action sports peers. the movements are even the same, when comparing park skiing to rolling.

however...

the people who are committed to rollerblading are committed 100%, and they share a love and connection that is stronger than anything skiing will ever accomplish. this is because rolling has never been and will never be cool, no matter what people say and do. skiing's gaining popularity and respect, but its really just a bunch of people hopping around and flailing in the air.

but the fact that matters:

these activities provide me with the two greatest feelings i know, and for that i don't care what anyone calls me. i am a faggot fruiterbooter. word.

oh, and dissing on the whole 'gansta' thing in rollerblading: at least rolling actually takes place in the streets, not in the mountains, where you need a shit ton of money to even start to practice skiing. anyone trying to be 'ghetto' while skiing is deserving of anything they may be called.

my two cents...

I fucking hate inline with a passion. I hate fruitbooters. No offense or anything, i just thing the culture and all the pros look like absolute retards.

yeh i used to rip on bladers all the time, btu i just started and its fun as hell. all i do is ski grinds and spins on but its fun as helll who cares

Skiing has been around for thousands of years, and was and will for ever be kool , who gives a shit what other people think, I think rollerblading in some cases is amazing, Fuck the Yasutoku brothers are soo sick, if they skied pipe within 2 years they would win every comp, and the street stuff like the big acid drops to flat and some of the transfers they do from rail to rail soo crazy, but skiing and inline are different, skiing is soo old and has so many different faccits to it, but inline only has vert and street to compare the 2 stupid, there totally different in soo many ways, But yeh rollerblading got mad hype back in the day at least in Australia, Matt Sorano (spelling) Cecsar Mora , Sam Fogerty they all killed it and were on the manly blades team i remember skating with them at manly skate park every other weekend when they werent traveling but then it all kinda died and it became kool to hate on rollerblading which sucked casue it was a sick sport , Thai kris does the sickest mctwist 540s, and that Fabin desilva (spelling ) that chick is soo good, that shits sick as hell, but skiing is on another level, the shit candide and Seth and Tanner doo, the only other sports that come close in how hard these guys push it are , FMX, Snowboarding, and big wave surfing, every other sport like skatting and rollerblading ect. is in a controled enviroment, there is no wind, noo big waves, no avies. So there fore these 4 sports are different becasue they take place in a natural enviroment not a made made and controlled enviroment hence forth harder.

I use to watch it quite a bit on the xtreme channel. Like concrete and choas and other shows.... i just don't like ho wthey all wear there pants at there knees and, I unno, it just looks so flaily to me and not fun.

i dont really know where you were going with that, all i was saying was that the newschool skiing cultuer and rollerblading cultures are the same, and that the majority of the people involved in both (on amatuer and professional levels) are the same.

and skiing has been around for a long ass time, but it was reinvented once in the 40's, once in the late 70's and again in the 90's. as each new wave comes through, the old is looked upon as ancient, gay, and stupid. the newschool skiing culture is young as fuck and, until the last few years, pretty much ignorant of its past.

inline has vert and street, yes, but that only applies to parks. the urban environment is, not on the same magnitude, the same as the outdoor, changing environment that youre talking about. things are different at each spot, you have to watch for cars, cops, security, the risk factor is insanely high. like i said, this isnt on the same magnitude as say, surfing a 40ft wave or ripping an alaskan face, but the similarities are there.

and as for motions: compare park skating (vert, street course) to park skiing. exactly the same, except one's on planks and the other's on wheels. the stance is the same, the basic grinds are the same, the spins are the same. its just the details that are different (more grinding options w/ skates, more air/spinning/grabbing options w/ skis).

that, along with the culture similarities, were the main things i was trying to point out. even though when you get down to specifics the sports are completely different, if you look at the basics, they are the same. they are both products of rebellions against the social norms of the day, and they both tend to ignore the forces that created them, causing them to be hated on by those forces.
