so last night we were talking online and just talking about w/e well some how i kinda slipped out that i was freaked out about how many times she says she loves me, we met two weeks ago and well did it, after that its like shes all over me, i said listen im kinda freaked out about the whole i love u thing and i think we should keep it minimal, show then went wow wtf and from there we got in a fight and broke up........ do u think i was right to say to her that i was freaked out about saying i love u, its jus such a big word and im just not ready for that kinda thing, i have said it back but like i really dont mean it... i feel like an asshole but kinda glad this is over cuz it went soo fast

Everyone, I think that the word "love" and the sentence "I love you" are used very, Very often in the English language. It's easy to say, it just slips out of your mouth. You can say it for laughs, you can mean it for real, but the emphasis in other languages with the word "love" is completely different...

Atleast in Finland and Sweden, it's not very often that you really go on and say you love a girl, not to me atleast. And in Japan (correct me if I'm wrong) the word "love" isn't known. There isn't a word that says "I love you" in Japanese. It's something else, more like an affection.
