so jay got like 2 feet and this is what it says on bolton valleys website

Bolton Valley Resort is OPEN for the 2007/2008 season! There's

nearly 3 feet of light, fluffy powder at the top of the mountain, and

just over two feet at the bottom! Mid-Mountain and Snowflake start up

at 9am, Mity Mite at 10am, and the Vista Quad at noon. We have 16

trails open and groomed today, with many ropes expected to drop as

patrol gets out on the mountain! Lift tickets are $32 all day. Tell

your boss you can't get out of your driveway, and kick off the season

with a powder day!

opening day is a powder day...what!!! thats unheard of

happy shredding

never thought id hear of a powder day at bolton...let alone on opening day! i bet smuggs is the SHIT right now!

we have a foot right now but our ski hill isn't open until friday. shits weak but once its open there is still going to be so much untouched snow.

i was there for the last 3, yesterday was probably the best day ive ever had there and today was deffinetly up there. right under the tbar was untouched for both days so i got straight pow every run pretty much where the park usually is, like 2 feet or so.

So like most skiers, i thought coming out to Utah for school would be my best bet for amazing skiing. and i must say, its fucking sick out here. One problem.... Vermont has over 100+ inches of snow in places such as Jay and we are basically dry here. Looks like i will be heading back east for a few weeks in December to get in some of the best skiing of the year so far. Fucking Utah and its lack of snow right now.

and for the one bragging about Killington's 16"s.... YOU ARE SKIING KILLINGTON so shut up, leave your beat resort and go to a real resort... you know, one where people from Vermont actually ski. Mad River or Jay or Sugarbush for instance.

It's really nice how Killingtons black diamonds are cut into thirds by blues or greens. And then, each of these thirds are considered different trails. No wonder they claim to have 200 or w/e trails.

I skied closed runs yesterday at Holiday Valley in Western New York, and was scoring foot deep powder all afternoon.

dude who cares?

as long as the kid was having fun and there was pow. it doesnt matter. let them ski killington....leave the good stuff for us

vermont people are so greedy, wtf is up with that? then people hate on new yorkers for being assholes when its so fucking annoying to hear vermonters saying resorts like jay sucks thinking its funny. why do you guys think your so far more superior then us? because i have a news flash, your not!

Anytime theres a place that locals like, they will try to shy others away to keep it from getting swamped with tourists.

This is true for ANYWHERE.

we're asshole because we're not like you guys. thats really open-minded! i get called close-minded all the time but meanwhile a lot of you are just greedy sons of bitches

Can you honestly tell me that if you had a place that was in it's own category, that you'd go telling everyone and their mother about it?

It's powder. if it gets super busy, it all gets tracked out.

so get there first? don't know what to tell ya. if it was meant only for locals, it wouldn't be open to the whole world. get over it

Yes, it's open to everyone, but why draw attention to it when those that matter know what it is...

i cant tell if thats a joke or not? in any case its wrong. killington sucks compared to jay. jay is like a mini utah, there always good for 10+ powder days minimum.

as i look out my window right now we are getting DUMPED on and have been for a few days.. i am in SLC and we are supposed to get over a foot of snow which is redic for the valley. alta is looking at 30" +
