YAO purchase advice :/

Hey, I'm now going skiing quite a bit and I'm thinking of getting some skis. I ride mostly powder and cruise round the pistes and off-piste and go to the park sometimes (small rails and jumps...).

I'm 6.1 foot tall (1.9 m), weigh around 188 pounds (86kg). I ski well, in full control and I like jumping random stuff.

I've been riding some rented skis (carving style...)

I'm thinking perhaps Scratch BC or FS? Line Prophets? The price isn't really an issue... well not too expensive like +$600. And what bindings would you recommend, I've seen someone with some really nice white ones, wish I asked what make they were.

BTW what do fat skis feel like?

when i first saw this i thought you wanted yayo purchase advice.

but yeah the pontoons are real nice.

if you are only riding rentals im assuming that you arent the strongest skier so you may not want a fat ski as it takes more to control. the scratch fs of pe or fujis would be good for you.

they are bigger and have less sidecut. how many times have you been skiing? what can you ski? greens blues black? when you say you do jumps, are they big small? do you just roll over them?

I can do red, black runs... and I usually get 6 foot air out of most jumps. (at the park) I have good technique, flexed knees I can turn fast. I've jumped off a roughly 6 foot roof on flat and landed.

So I don't suck that much lol. I just want to get some skis which will last and will be good on powder, on piste and in the park.

Public Enemy's sound like they would be good for you. Very good all around, just a nice cheap, sturdy, not mid range, versatile ski.

its one burliegh ass ski. pretty stiff and a wee bit hard to handle. It's gonna be a BIG adjustment coming off of a carving ski unless you were on volkl six stars

agreed, also look into 4frn't MSP's.

Or i could sell you some Liberty CNOTES, they have a 100 waiste, and are in like new condition. I could sell them for as low as $250 shipped. Then you'd know if you like fat skis before you spend $600.

pontoon is probably the last ski you would want- even if you only go to the park for an hour per 5 days you ski. theyre outside of park only. go with the arv's or 4frnt msp's
