I personally don't like filming skiing, I have zero intention of trying to get a shot for 30 minutes when I'm trying to ski.

I do get hyped up from watching other people ski, but I understand that my skiing isn't really gonna hype anyone up unless they are skiing with me, and in that case, I would rather just ski.

I'm pretty new here but seems to me if we wanna see more edits we have to create a positive and rewarding environment for those who do take the time to create them - hope everyone complaining about the lack of edits is smashing like and hyping up the comments on the next amateur edit that gets posted ?
 
TBH annie is still upset that even though I am a WAY shittier skier than he is I will always be infinitely more respected in the midwest scene than his holocaust denying, beyblade ass looking, coffee enema taking ass ever will be.

Let's be honest about who you are. You're a skier who never "made it" who turned to being a jackass to get some sort of a following. It's the steve stept model but steve is actually funny here and there. This is just the same old shit of "annie didn't get a big enough dopamine boost from hating minorities and other groups on insta today. Better post stupid shit on ns to stay relevant!"

I just suck at park skiing so i dont bother posting shitty edits of me doing nothing interesting.

Thinking about doing a telemark edit next season though
 
NS the site is an internet forum where you can be reasonably confident that there are real people who have a similar interest behind the posts. People like that cause most of Reddit is a shitty karma whoring echo chamber and 4chan is a cesspool. Instagram has kinda taken over as the main platform for ski video content as attention spans get shorter and people have gotten used to quantity and frequency of it.

That being said, NS is the place for real edits that can be judged by people into skiing. Normal people don't give shit about the extra 180 you added onto your kfed in the real world, they just say neat and move on with their day. Trying to get clout and followers by posting clips on ig is whatever and i get you gotta hustle but post an edit to NS if you really want skiers to hype up your skiing.

I think NS has gotten better with not being such assholes to beginner or shitty edits and it should stay that way. We should try and cultivate a space where people aren't scared to post their shit so that more people do. NS should be the premier place for ski content and community

I also think its sick when I am in the forums and can go check the persons content to see if they can back it up. Still waiting on dolan to post clips lol
 
Not everyone has a filmer or even wants to film for whatever reason. Maybe their group doesn't ski park (easiest to stack clips there), maybe they don't feel like their bag is deep enough for an edit, maybe their phone dies super fast in the cold. Imo every member should have at least a little bit of ski content to contribute even if its just one pic or clip
