There is a trip for all high school students in the lower mainland to go to big white for a few days. I'm interested if ne one else on ns is going?
 
Yup the s trip. Which schools you guys going with? I used to go to Byng but now I'm out in langley so if I go I'll be going with the langley high schools.
 
if ur school doesnt go u can always try to tag along with another school i did that last year with terry fox
 
I think the best part would be shredding with all of NS from the lower mainland, but from the looks of it, I think it'll be full of gapers and chaperone BS and everything
 
TBH there really isn't that much chaperone bs. They just say that to get parents off their back and all the kids go and get drunk together. The trip is more of an excuse for people from all schools to party. Some people don't ski or snowboard at all and still go. Which is partially why I don't want to go because it's more of a party than a skiing experience. A really expensive party at that. But I'm still considering it.
 
Yea word, I would ditch all the daily activities and just ski, get back and party with everyone. I'm down for the whole party all night and still ski thing
 
Haha yea it would be such a good time... I could probably do that for the 2 or 3 days we're there, but there's only so much going to sleep at like 2 with the world spinning and waking up at like 8 with the world still spinning that I can do. I wonder if they would let me bring my skis and my board... I definitely would be interested then.

Hm grade 10s went on our trip last year... It might depend on who's organizing, but we're a pretty small school so we needed grade 10s to fill it out I think.

Which school are you going with?

I wanted to organize it for my school this year but I heard some grade 11 girl is... thoroughly annoyed me.

Snowboarder from gaper school in Gibsons going right here. Stoked except no one else in my school actually skis or snowboards
 
Yea I'm going, I'll probably be the only guy with Icelantic Shamans on the mountain, does anyone know that mountain well?
 
dont worry about the. skiing. its gunna be really good conditions in january like it usally is. but everyone wil be too hungover to ski
 
Probably the best trip ever. I went last year and it was 3 nights of crazyness, 1000 or so kids packed into 4 floors for each hotel. The counsellors don't care if you're straight fucking shit faced as long as you don't have any booze visible on you. Find some room to party in, then find another. Try to get in bed by 2 or 3 though because in the morning it's serious fucking business time. Big White is an amazing mountain way bigger than I imagined. The park is perfect, and I had pow both days if I was feeling adventurous. Have fun dudez/dudettez.
 
And don't puke on the bus ride there. Happened wayyyyy too many times when I went. And you can't simply go on this trip without getting blackout at least one night.
 
I think that's when we're going too! At least that's what I've heard. It's my birthday on the 4th too so I'm actually thinking about going now. Got some good interest from the other 12s as well..

Yea but I agree about the drinking, I actually wanna get up when they open and hit the mountains so I'm not gonna get shit faced... I might have a bit but not enough to be so hungover I won't want to ski/snowboard.
 
Aite will do. I have no idea what gear I'll have come that time and I'm not even sure if I wanna bring my snowboard or skiis yet, but I think I will be going.
 
I ski hungover every sunday ahah

Yea I changed my mind about going, the mountain in going to be crowded with all us goons and its 45 minuets away from where were staying, if it blower the roads going to be fucked

I'm takin the coinage and going up whiss

Yea I'm leaning that way too, apparently its a shit fest in terms of skiing cause the mountain/lifts get littered with goons. This thread does make me kinda want to go though, just to get an NS crew together...
