salomon is always a year behind everyone else, they had sarah burke on there team for quite a while but they didnt make a womans ski until a year after every other company in the industry.
and if you heard mike douglas salomon is making a new mega fat skito compete with the prophet, sumo, thug etc. i highly doubt salomon would ever make such a ski if pollard never came up with the prophet.
and you cant deny that salomon snowblades were produced after line started making skiboards.
as for the 1260, from what ive been led to believe the 1260 was made before the 1080 but salomon put it into production earlier.
and dont think about playing the binding card because im not going to defend line bindings, its a great idea to have one binding and several skis, but it was doomed from the begining, you cant make money doing that.
also salomon originally is a binding company, and most people can regognize a salomon binding without a second thought so salomon surely would'nt change their whole design just because another company has a better binding.
oh yeah, im more than aware the 1260 no longer exists, you dont have to point that out, i was just comparing similar skis with different core so i dont understand that aspect of your argument.
on a final note ofcourse salomon is pumping truck loads of cash into this industry, why wouldnt they? they making boat loads of money off theyre twin tips,
they want to keep this industry growing so they can make more money. i mean if i owned a logging company wouldnt i support the logging industry? my point is that it is in fact your argument that is invalid (on most fronts at least)
