i heard something about D structure trying to set up an urban rail jibfest, no word on what theyve arranged so far

We're working with Orage to have a rail contest downtowm MTL. We're having meetings with the city in the following weeks.

If it happens, it should be in end-january or february.

thats right... the rail precision will come with time... just like we are seeing tanners swith 450s on.... snowboarding has had way more time to advance.

But i still thing seeing a skier do a triple kink downtown somwhere at a jam is still sick.

 
Think about how much different it is to do a bs on ski's than a board.. Not really the same manner of trick.. I think that maybe we've all got used to seeing skate board tricks done on TV and stuff that grinding on skis seems a little odd.. But it's fun as all HECk man...

 
I think you are right about having a ski rail, or jib festival,, one that everyone could participate it, or maybe a bunch of em' in ski towns all over the country.. Something fun for US where there's no big prize at stake and you don't have to be a PRO to participate..

 
red bull had a rails comp in oz for skiers and boarders, it was called the redbull rails. it was pretty sick, have a search for it if you want more info.

rails on ski can be cool if yare really into it...

I'M kinda tired of seeing everykids doing tha same focking shuits on rails...

seriously, snowboarding as much more variety on rails..

BUT, some skiers are really pushing tha rails shits by doing inline shits (makio, bs royales, farfigs) with skis on...

And spins onto rails are kinda starting to push it even further..

Sking main problem is that people are not reallising what they can do on rails.. they just do what they saw pros doing.

urban rails are gayer than gay. why not just keep skiing in the mountains where it belongs. the reason why skater hate snowboarders is because they impede on there territory, and they think there sport is just as hard. skateboarding is the hardest sport on earth, and we should leave the urban rails for them
