Anyone skiing on Salomon Scream 10 XTra-Hot Pilots? I'm just looking for some honest opinions about those sticks. I've heard they're pretty sick but had to come here to the experts!

uummmm.... unless you are skiing groomers all day i would get a different ski. plus the pilot system is a rip off. do some more research.

its here...check out the teaser for ''First Light''

that's kinda the opposite of what i've been hearing about the last few days. Seems like they're best for going off the groomers all terrain style. Have you ski'd on them? and tell me more about the pilot system

the piolet system is a joke. we had a few skis with it come in the shop asking if we could repair them b/c they pulled out. pieces of junk if you ask me.

are you skiing park and switch on them? can't imagine them being too good for that seeing as they don't have twin tips

Prolly do some park. Heard they're good/easy at landing in the park somewhere because they're a lot like the pocket rockets without the twin tips. This is the first bad things i've heard about the Pilot system. Interesting. anything else you might add

i never had any major problems with the scream 10 pilots i had. I went at least 100 days with nothing failing and i am pretty abusive on my stuff.

All in all, its a good all-mountain ski, if you don't ride switch. Its probably more suited for someone older who still wants performance and doesn't do a lot of park or deep pow.

Cats. the other white meat.

They're more groomer skis for old people who want to think they have extreme powder skis. All mountain just means it isn't good for anything anyway ie. not fat enough for pow, not light enough for park. And the pilot system is a marketing gymmic which allows Salomon to force customers to buy their bindings along with their skis. By PRs if you are into that spaceframe feel, or just 4frnts if you want a good pair of skis which last you.

Jeff: Hey Geoff, did Ronny tell you not to wear any boxers so he could rape you better?

Geoff: No, I just put my boxers on backwards so the hole is in the back...it's alot easier that way.

'I'm in his nigger crew' (my little brother in response to my statement that he was in my 'digger crew')

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'I'm not asking for any help, just maybe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

Yeah, the hots are a wee bit skinnier in the middle. and you're right more for groomers. i'd still rather have the xtra hots though

Id get something else, there are sooo many better skis out there.

Don't listen to most of the peopel here since they only speak in terms of park stuff. I work at a shop where we sell those skis and I have a friend and a fellow employee who ski them. They both really like them. The first pilot system wasn't really geared towards expert level skiers. But the new systyem is. My friend who is on them is an ex racer and one of the best big mountain skiers I've ever seen. They seem to work really well for him. Last season they moved the holes where the bindings screw in out from the center. This made it so the skis don't have such a round flex like they were originally intended. They now edge better because there is a bigger flat spot underfoot. So there is more edge contact giving you more control. But personally I still think I'd rather not have the pilot system and this year Salomon is dealing with that problem with the scream limited which I think might be a little narrower but a very simular bad ass ski without the pilot system. So I hope that helps. If you need any more info on salomons message me. Our rep should be by in the next month and then I will know even more about the new stuff. Also if you want a pair of last year's still in the wrapper I could probably sell you a pair through ebay for like $450.
