Xgames big air set up.

After watching the finals I believe the event should be held in the day, and the jump should be bigger like 20 feet bigger. The jam style format is good. What are people's thoughts?
 
I like the night set up and agree that the jump should be a little bigger. I think it would be better if each jam session were longer though.
 
The jump size is not keeping up with the progression of the sport
Look at the size of jumps being built for film shoots these days.
The Sun Valley jump in Eye Trip would be perfect for x games big air....
 
wishing the jam format was 5 minutes longer for finals, not that it would have mattered this year though.
 
Whoever was talking before the big air before the finals, may I ask .... WTF is a switch triple misty cork???

let jon olsson build the jump so everyone has a better chance of not getting hurt. they can keep their slope course however they want it.

and it should stay at night because of what happened to slope finals, light and speed is more even throughout the comp if its under the lights.
 
you know how i know none of you know what you're talking about?

because all of you suggested making the jump bigger when its not possible where the jump is and not one of you suggested a jump with more pop and a steeper landing which would create more air time for tricks and still allow it to be held where it is.
 
Then why dont they move the jump if thats a problem?

well....right next to the big air jump is the skier cross jump....and those guys are taking it 130 feet plus. If xgames wanted to build a bigger jump, they could do it.
 
no shit they could build a bigger jump. simply put, you've got no idea how much room is needed for every event and how much room is actually available to use and to use it in a way where it can not only be broadcast friendly but also spectator friendly.
 
aright dude.....this goes back to point one, who are you, and how the fuck do you know what you're talking about more than anyone else? they could build a bigger jump if they wanted.
 
why didnt they blow more snow and increase the deck length by 15 feet...and made the lip poppier and landing steeper? 5 yards wont screw up cameras or take up "too much space"

or they could just hire Jon to sculpt the "money booter"/big air booter. he would make it soo nice.
