So im playing COD4 live just now and my screen flickers and turns green. So i yahoo answer the prob and it says to unplug everything and start over. I did that and when i turned it on it was fine but 5 minutes later it did the same thing. help pleasseee

What you can do is that you send your console over to Micro$oft. That's right, Micro$oft has some kind of repair service to fix your Xbox 360 green screen error, but it's obvious that it's not for free. Micro$oft is Micro$oft
So what did they come up with? You send your console over to them, wait 1-8 weeks, and on top of that... You will have to pay $150 if your warranty has been expired
.Or you do it yourself, it's the exact same repair as the red light of dead.

my friend says that if theres any prob with an xbox besides the red rings after the warranty you can just wrap it in tin foil then in a towel to get the red rings by making it overheat, then you get a new one free.

research this before you do it tho cause im no expert

If you get red rings do they send you a new one. I dont have a warranty and its like two years old, so if i do get the rings will they still get me a new one free. I dont have any money to put into this thing.
Im so mad i just got skate 2

im sorry for you, i got red rings of death like a year ago, and it took like 2 weeks for them to send me a new one, and i didnt pay

are you using an hdmi cable? i use to get the green flicker whe i was, then i switched to a vga cable and havent had it happen since

Lol im sorry, im feel fucking retarded asking this but how do i know the difference. My chordhas six outputs, yellow, white, red, another red, blue, and green. Theres a switch on the xbox side that says tv or hdtv. I thought it was just the normal chord

That's the normal cord, It just has 2 video out options:yellow: composite : regular fail tv.Red,green, blue: Component: Reasonable HDTV.

And then you have HDMI: which is a single plug that will transmit glorious 1080P to your HDTV.

hmm, i just let it sit for a while now its working fine. I think it may have gotten warm, it was laying on its side and i tipped it up.

Down the fucking drain? Because you can't........play your xbox? This, people, is what's wrong with my generation.

Nope. You send it to Mesquite, TX and they just re-apply the soldering that heats and cracks.

The cause of RROD is because M$ decided to use a cheap, lead-free solder on all the parts in the 360. Because they are lead free, they heat up quicker and eventually crack breaking the solder between parts of the 360 (like the motherboard).

You send it back, the re-solder and then they send it back to you. I tried the towel trick the first time I got RROD, it cured it for about 5 minutes, then it was fucked again. Mine got repaired though because they extended the warranty for RROD to three years on all boxes.

Hope that helps in some way.
