alright so on sunday i came home from church and decided to play the fifa 09 demo which is the shiz. I turn it on the there she goes. three flashing red lights. i call xbox and they take me through some trouble shooting steps-- still doesnt work. I finally talk to a real person and ask if i can ship it in to get it fixed and they said my warranty EXPIRED A WEEK AGO AND IT IS GOING TO COST ME 100 TO FIX IT!!!!! I always thought they did this for free.. so im just done with xbox now. sad day
 
thats fucked up so much i feel ur pain....threaten a lawsuit and demand to speak to some higher up person other than some dam stupid ass bitch thast what i did and i got it for free after like 30 minutes of goin nuts cfuase the same thing happened to me
 
bummer, try to keep it off the carpet cuz it sucks up the fibers. This kid i know had his break so many times from overheating that microsoft implanted an intercooler fan thing inside of it because he is a slug
 
ok here is what you do. take off the hard drive, unplug the video cord, and take out any disk you have in it. then wrap it in 2 thick towls. turn it on for 30-45 min. this will re sauder(sp?) the mother board and fix it. i have done this and it works. also look it up on youtube for more proof. pm me with any questions
 
that only works for a little while, I think the real way to fix it is to remove the little pieces that connect the motherboard to whatever and replace it with a different metal because they melt and you get the ring of death. so if you wanna give that a shot look it up online, might as well if its already broken
 
Hmm, red ring warranty is 3 years, have you had your xbox for 3 years? If not, you should get a new one for free no matter what.
 
well yeah, you could do that. or you could have both, seeing as how they're both great systems with great games and great graphics, etc.

i love PS3 more than Xbox 360, but i still love Xbox 360.
