XBOX 360 HELP!

I just got the new halo 3 edition xbox 360 and i want to buy a cooling system for it. I have read reviews on two different kinds and was wondering if you guys liked one or the other.

I have the Nyko also, ive had no problems with it. One thing though, keep your Xbox 360 horizontal not vertical.

Mine has only been in my dorm room and it never overheats, i've had it on all day playing skate off and on and it works great...

the wonderful people at Microsoft do not recommend a cooling fan for the 360, apparently it causes more problems than it fixes. That is what they told me though, so I don't know if it is true or not.

when I used the nyko one 2 of my games got scratched

i took it out and nothing has gone wrong since

dont buy a fan but dont just leave your xbox on for 24 hours

DO NOT buy the nyko. It draws power from the xbox so it actually causes more problems than it helps. You don't need a cooler if you don't keep it in a closed cupboard or something. Just make sure the vents in the back aren't covered by anything. I've never had any overheating problems with my 360.

1. ALWAYS keep your 360 vertical. This is the way it was designed to be, so that there is maximum airflow around the console. People say shit about it scratching the disks, but that ONLY happens if you decide to move its location or orientation while its on. And I don't see why the fuck anyone would want to do that. Vertical = Cooler.

2. DO NOT buy Nyko. If Xbox finds out that you were using one (by marks left on the casing) your warranty is GONE. Done. And you're fucked.

3. The Intec fan is fine, but does very little because they put some stupid fucking grating thing that restricts 50% of the fan power.

4. Try to find a Pelican Fan Stand. They make the Xbox noticably cooler, not as much so as the Nyko, but it doesn't void your warranty and Pelican will replace your Xbox if it breaks due to the cooler.

I've had my 360 horizontal for months with no problems. The vents are all in the back anyway.

yeah co-signage on this. Had one of those got the rrod and i got a new one, since then i havent been using it, and it works great even after 5hrs of playing skate. If you really wanna get one get it so it doesn't sap power from the xbox.
