the tricks in the trailer are crazy and get me stoked but it seems to me that poor boyz have no more imganition, the editing is nothing compared to companies like pléhouse. Poor boyz would need to be more original.

Well there movies have been generic but this trailer was diffrent.. but if you take a solid look at ski movies there all generic. Are biggest innovations have been editing, but not something totally diffrent. Just segment after segment, what if they didnt have segments and just had a core group and each part was seperated by location and showed off what diffrent skiers can do off the same terrain.

I don't really see a need to be original. I just want to see the best damn sking on the planet when I buy a video. If it's got that I'm stoked.

I don't have a problem with Tanner and those guys and the whole hip hop thing. What I don't like is them reping this badass attitiude. It just doesn't really fit with the mentality of skiing.

Schwaggs I just mean regardless of what ski movie it is it's just going to be a bunch of people skiing. There isn't a lot of room for diffences between films. Besides using some different angles and some editing techniques that few people will even pick up on ski movie are all pretty simular.

you guys are all so caught up in 'how good the teasers are'!!!

Don't forget that the rest of all these New Companies movies with 'incredable teasers' will have too keep up that standard for the rest of their movies!

It will be interesting too see how many of these new production companies will actually be able too do that!

 
New Companies teasers wasn´t nearly as good as 'X' teaser.

Even WSK106 trailer wasn´t at the same level.

i thought it was ok. same old cookie cutter ski movie teaser. couple hammers, couple urban rails, bad music, etc

to the guy that said movies cant flow very well unless the music is all the same...you are wrrrrong. editors need to concentrate on making an entire movie, not just a bunch of segments and slapping them together at the end.

Ask any good filmaker out there. When someone sets out to make a movie, there is the one you write, the one you shoot, and the one you edit. The movie that is edited never turns out the same as the one you set forth to make. So yes, editing is important. But only to a certain degree. If you don't have footage to stand on, then its a fucking light show! No mas. I personally think Dave nailed it on this trailer. There is such a thing as an overedit. In my humble opinion, some of the trailers out there this season were edited 'Bruckheimer style' rather than 'Scorcese style' (he still cuts his movies by hand), allowing you to actually enjoy the beauty of the footage. but that's my opinion, of course I could be wrong.

Ya.. what I meen is I see these movies trying to please everyone with all kinds a music. Having a movie with one kinda vibe all the way threw wouldnt be bad at all.

PBP still hasnt advertised the Trailer on their website.. so i doubt that there ready anyways. like the rest of the other film companies.

so im watching the teaser a few minutes ago and i noticed the cheering and stuff from jfs backflip at the beginning and the last 360 are exactly the same. canned cheering? is skiing a sitcom now?

To me the X trailer made it seem less like poorboyz was a small company and more like they were some hollywood company. I liked it a lot more when I watch it now just because it's so cool. It is just a teaser. The best stuff will be in the movie.
