X-Qualifiers

i know it's a bit early, but i was wondering if anyone had dates for this?

i heard that they're reducing the number of riders in the X-Games, so they would eliminate the qualifiers since they don't need anymore riders

i don't know if that's a rumor or not, but i would enjoy it if someone could clear this up...

From what I've heard there's still a couple spots (Very few) and there's supposed to be an X-Quali event at Mammoth.

I heard that at Superpark from the Jabra people and the GLobal Event Management people. I'm not totally possitive that it's true though.

There is still supposed to be a qualifier in Breckenridge, 1st or 2nd week of January. Not sure how many spots, although I heard at one point that they would only have 10 spots total for each event this year, including top 2 from last year.

im pretty sure there is only 10 in the gamezzzzzzzzzzzz and there going to be hand picked from the x game peeps.this is the gay ass rumor i heard, i think it's pretty lame considering it doesn't open up doors for new peeps. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no x qualifier this year. i would hope they still had the same event at breck, because it's dope, but i would NOT be surprised if it was not called the q-qualifier............but this is straight out of rumors ive heard from some peeps so dont freak out and post more threads about it. just post some more about getting the new freeze because thats what seems most popular up in here in the ns.com world.

yea... i heard that exact same thing today... 10 spots, no Breck X-qualy... i heard that there is 1 or 2 wild card spots being filled by the wiinners of some other comps...

This is shitty news...It sucks because there are so many new kids that are going to be busting out in a matter of months. I was really hopeing for a girls' quali because there are so many dope girls that not many people know.

they had an girls x-quali in big bear in march, but i was the only girl there. they had a points system and awarded me points for finishing first, so i think they are going to have girls. this was the first time they had a female category at an x-quali, and with awarding points, i would assume they are considering females.

^^Was it slopestyle, or just halfpipe for girls? I think I am going to have to write a nice little letter to them to figure out what is up because I have to convince the deans to let me out of school.

man I heard that too it really sucks, I mean it will be like no chance for unknown, not to mention skilled riders to get in. I would go if I got a chance, but if theyre taking away the quals, yeah...thats it.

x-quals should be open for anyone.

10 spots? Nah mans, theres at least 50 spots to get into the xquals, and then the top 2 or 3 from that get to go to the show...

yah it's soo lame it's just going to be another jon,tanner, pep, simon circus show. im not saying it's a bad thing because these pro's are the leaders of the sport, but come on????? thats not a competition... it's a show. this allows very few spots for people who are trying to progress in the sport of freeskiing. hopefully this will be changed......
